This itinerary is designed for those who wish to mix exploring island nature with culture, history and art. Dubrovnik, one of world’s most beautiful old towns, offers centuries of beautiful culture, while the Elafiti shorelines offer great natural variety: cliffs, caves, pine and palm trees, hidden coves, reefs and sandy beaches. This trip is perfect for those who want to have multisport-kayak holidays and relax under Palm trees and on sandy beaches surrounded by peacful untouched nature. No previous kayaking experience is necessary.
Our base is Lopud island, an island of lush Mediterranean and subtropical vegetation, beautiful gardens, parks and beaches. In the past, it was an island of captains, which provided the most sailors for the navy of the Dubrovnik Republic. Also from Lopud was the famed sailor and ship owner Miho Pracat. According to the Dubrovnik historian Razzi, Lopud had 30 churches in the 16th century, as well as numerous summer residences, several monasteries and many more inhabitants than today. ITINERARY Day 1 (Saturday): We transfer from Dubrovnik Airport or Dubrovnik town to Lopud island. At the evening we meet together and talk about the next days. Day 2: Kayaking introduction in the morning and first kayaking about 40 minutes to the island of Sipan. We will visit the colorful villages of Sudjuradj and Luka Sipanska. We will explore them by walking and bicycling, with some time to enjoy the two island bays. Lunch is offered on a tipical dalmatian farm with homemade ham and cheese. Day 3: Kayaking to the northwest side of the island and the beach Sunj - diving mask, snorkel and fins will be provided for you to explore the rich and colorful underwater world of the Adriatic – hiking back to the islands village Lopud. Day 4: Paddling, swimming and snorkel around Kolocep Island, the most interesting for sea kayaking and hiking. You will surely be impressed by the dramatic scenery with hidden dark caves, high cliffs and colorful reefs. After about 3 hours paddling, lunch will be organised in the bay Gornje Celo in a family run restaurant just by the sea. Day 5: Today You can relax in the bay, sleep as long as You want or have an extra daily tour with us. We are offering interessting full day excursions like canoeing, sailing or nordic walking trips. Day 6: It is time to visit the old town of Dubrovnik, the most beautiful of all Mediterranean towns, for sightseeing, shopping in ancient streets, walking along city walls… Gelato or coffee taste the best in open air bistros along Stradun, the old town’s main street and promenade. To Lopud we will return at the evening with a catamaran yacht enjoying a sunset sailing. Day 7: Kayaking to the coast and the village Trsteno, about 1 hour paddling – visiting Trsteno arboretum – picknik lunch on a beach across Lopud – kayaking back for dinner. Day 8: Transfer to Dubrovnik for flight home or onward. Accommodation: We will stay in family houses offering nice rooms of 3 star category, not more than 300 meters from the first sandy beaches away. Optionaly You can book also a camping place during Your stay, to feel the magnificent nature and spirit of this place in total, book an apartment with self catering or an accommodation in 3 and 4 star hotels on the island.
