Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Home – Beijing. Depart for Beijing.

Day 2: Beijing. Welcome to China! Upon arrival in Beijing, you will be taken to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure.

Day 3: Beijing. Today features an excursion to the Great Wall and Ming tomb. Tonight, enjoy an amazing Acrobatic Show. (B, L, D)

Day 4: Beijing. Today you visit Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace. This evening, you are treated to an authentic Beijing Duck dinner. (B, L, D)

Day 5: Beijing / Kunming. This morning you fly to Kunming, the Yunnan province capital that is called the “city of eternal spring” because of its pleasant year-round weather. Upon arrival, your local guide will take you on a tour of Kunming featuring Western Hill, Dragon Gate, Sanqing Pavilion and Grandview Tower overlooking Dianchi Lake. Stop at a local flower and bird market before checking in to your hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 6: Kunming / Xishuangbanna. Today you visit the Stone Forest, a natural museum of Karst landforms including weird-shaped peaks, fantastic caverns, serene ponds and waterfalls. On the way back to Kunming, you visit a minority nationality village. After dinner, you fly to Xishuangbanna. (B, L, D)

Day 7: Xishuangbanna. You can not claim to have been to Yunnan without visiting Xishuangbanna because its exotic, picturesque scenery and culture. A morning tour features a local market and Dai Garden (composed of five Dai villages in the town of Ganlanba) before driving to Menglun to visit the Tropical Botanic Garden. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Xishuangbanna / Lijiang. This morning, you visit Manting Park in Jinghong. After lunch, you fl y to Lijiang. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel. (B, L)

Day 9: Lijiang. Morning visits include Yuquan Park and Wangu Tower for a panoramic view of the Old Town. This afternoon, visit Lijiang Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy exploring the alleys and shops of this beautiful town. Tonight, enjoy a Naxi musical performance. (B, L, D)

Day 10: Lijiang. Today’s touring features Yufeng Temple, Baisha ancient mural paintings, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Yak Meadow and Yuhu Naxi Village. (B, L, D)

Day 11: Lijiang / Zhongdian. En route to Zhongdian, you stop at Tiger Leaping Gorge (the world’s deepest canyon) in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Once in Zhongdian, you visit Guihua Lama Tibetan Temple which was built by the 5th Dalai Lama in the 17th century and has a current population of about 800 monks. Check in to your hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 12: Zhongdian. Today, you visit Bita Lake via horseback. You also visit the home of a local Tibetan family where you’ll learn about their traditional lifestyle. (B, L, D)

Day 13: Zhongdian / Kunming / Shanghai. This morning you fl y to Kunming, where you connect to another flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival in Shanghai, you will be taken to your hotel. An afternoon tour of Shanghai features Yunan Garden and the Bund. Balance of the day is free for shopping. (B)

Day 14: Shanghai / Home. You will be taken to the airport for your flight home. (B)
