Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Home – Beijing. Depart for Beijing.
Day 2: Beijing. Welcome to China! Upon arrival in Beijing, you will be taken to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure.
Day 3: Beijing. Today features an excursion to the Great Wall and Ming tomb. Tonight, enjoy a Beijing Duck Dinner and your choice of Beijing Opera or an Acrobatic Show. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Beijing / Urumqi. Today you visit Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square before you fly to Urumqi in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel. (B, L)
Day 5: Urumqi / Kashgar. You spend the day at Heavenly Lake and Xinjiang Provincial Museum. Tonight you fly to Kashgar. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Kashgar. Today you visit beautiful Kalakuli Lake. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Kashgar / Urumqi. Your tour in Kashgar will feature Abakh Hoja Tomb, the Id Gar Mosque, the old handicrafts street and the Bazaar. (On Sundays, you can see the famous Sunday bazaar around Aizilaiti Lu.) After dinner, you fly back to Urumqi. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Urumqi / Turpan. This morning, you depart for Turpan. In the afternoon, you visit Jiaohe Ancient City, drive through Turpan’s famous Grape Gorge and visit the museum of Karez and amazing ancient irrigation system. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Turpan / Dunhuang. Your morning tour features the Bezklik Buddha Grottoes, the Flaming Mountains and Astana Tombs. Afternoon is free. Tonight, you take a sleeper train to Dunhuang. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Dunhuang. Upon arrival in Dunjuang, local guide will take you to your hotel. Today you visit Mogao Buddha Grottoes, Crescent Moon Lake and Mingsha Mountain. (B, L, D)
Day 11: Dunhuang / Xian. This morning you fly to Xian which was the capital of China during the Tang Dynasty. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel. In the afternoon, you visit Shaanxi Provincial Museum and the Ancient City Wall. Enjoy an Imperial Dumpling Dinner tonight. (B, L, D)
Day 12: Xian / Shanghai. You spend the morning visiting the famous Terra Cotta Warriors. This afternoon, you fly to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel. (B, L)
Day 13: Shanghai. Today you visit the famous Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden and the Bund. (B, L)
Day 14: Shanghai / Home. Depart for home or your next destination. (B)
