The picturesque valleys, magnificent by their beauty necklaces of Kulikalonskie and Alautdinskie lakes, fantastically beautiful glaciers and attracting mountain peaks Chimtarga, Chapdara, the Big Hansa, Kaznok - in this heavenly spot it is really possible to leave the heart.

After fascinating travel to mountains you are waited with excursion on ancient fantastic cities of Central Asia: to Samarkand and Bukhara, with their exotic oriental markets and majestic architectural masterpieces. The best time for travel is the period from July to September.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent. A transfer into a hotel. Rest. Acquaintance with a group.

Day 2: Moving to Samarkand (350 km, 5 hours). On road you will cross a valley of the Syr-Darya River, will see the Dzhizak steppes, learn much about agriculture and a way of life of people living here.

Day 3: Trip Samarkand - Pendjikent (60 km, 1,5 h). Change of the bus with the mountain car. Trip Pendjikent - “Artuch” alpinist base (50 km, 2,5 h). Rest and preparation for an active part of a track. A lodging for the night in cottages (2200 m).

Day 4: Beginning of an active part of a track. Ascend on a good track to Kulikalonskie lakes. Camp on coast of Dushona lake (2900 m), (10 km is the distance which has been passed for a day, 5 h. is the running time spent for moving ahead within day, +700 m - ascent from a place of a lodging for the night).

On road of rise within day there is an opportunity to admire a wonderful panorama majestic Kulikalon walls with their transcendental sumits on more than 4500 m height. (Adamtash, Mirali, Rudaki). On road - survey of a hollow of Kulikalon lakes (totally 14 lakes) with the purest water of emerald-blue color. The fish is found.

Day 5: Ascend on Alautdin pass (4860) and descent to Alautdin lakes. Camp on coast of one of the lakes (2900 m) (6 km, 6 h, +900 m,-950 m). During long ascent one pleases a look of panorama of a wall and a view of Kulikalon lakes. An impressing view is from the pass to Chapdara peak (5197 m) and a valley of the river Chapdara. Far below bowls of Alautdin lakes, amazing on the color of water from light blue up to ultramarine are well visible.

Day 6: One-day walk on Mutnoye lake (8 km, 5 h, 800 m). Within day fine views of peaks Kaznok (4 200 m), Zamok (5 070 m), Energy (5 105 m) and Chimtarga (5489 m) - the highest Fan summit, are visible. You will see trailing glaciers and abrupt shaft, rare birches, the small lake nicknamed for its round form “Piala”, huge steps of the receded glacier, the polished rocks.

Day 7: Ascent on Laudan pass (3630 m) and descent to Kulikalon lakes. (12 km, +750 m, 4,5 h.,-850 m, 2 h). The track climbs as a rather sloping streamer up to the first pass to a saddle from which the basic saddle is well visible. Up to it is a traverse of a wide slope on a good path. From the pass the huge hollow of Kulikalon lakes and the western part of the same wall are almost completely visible. Descent from the pass conducts to lakes on a wide track.

Camp on coast of the big Kulikalon Lake (2800 m.). Within all day in front of you there are unforgettable panoramas of surrounding mountains in all beauty: a valley of Pasrud river, east slopes of Chapdara peak, distant tops of a grandiose valley of the river Jagnob, already familiar Kulikalon wall, and beyond it a topmost crest of peak Chimtarga, peak Paryshah (4650 m) are seen.

Day 8: Transfer Kulikalon - Zimut. Ascent on Gujtan pass (2600 m) is simple enough and there is a track among fir-tree groves. In 2 hours the descent from the pass leads to gorge of the Gujtan river to picturesque Guytan kishlak (village), from which there is a half an hour way to a wide valley of Achimajdan river, to kishlak Zimut. Camp (1500 m) (110 km, +400 m, 3 h,-1000 m, 3).

On road there are stops for acquaintance with the life of the shepherds who are on summer pastures. Tasting of ayran, yoghurt, flat cakes and tasty tea. A supper in the national house.

Day 9: Transfer Pendjikent - Samarkand (60 km, ~1,5 h).

Day 10: Sightseeing: Registan square - the “heart” of Samarkand - ensemble of 3 majestic madrassahs (XIV-XVI c.c.) - Sherdor, Ulugbek and Tillya Qory, Bibi-Khanum the gigantic congregational mosque (XV c.), Guri-Emir mausoleum of Timur, his sons and Ulugbek the grandson (XV c.), Ulugbek’s the well-known ruler and astronomer-scientist observatory (1420 y.) - the remains of an immense (30 m. tall) astrolabe for observing stars position, Shakhi-Zinda - “The Living King” (XI-XVIII c.c.) necropolis of Samarkand rulers and noblemen, consisting of set of superb decorated mausoleums, exotic Siab bazaar.

Day 11: Transfer to “Aydar” yurt camp in Kyzyl-Kum desert. On road excursion to Sarmysh gorge petroglyphs (more than 3500 figures of a "bronze" century - one of the greatest “rock picture galleries” in the world) and also to the “Nur” sacred complex of a source with sacred fishes, a dinner in Nurata. Camel back riding and walking through the desert. Supper in yurt camp at a fire place with accompany of local akyn (folklore singer) songs under bright oriental constellations. Spending the night in yurts.

Day 12: Camelback riding.

Day 13: Transfer to Bukhara.

Day 14: Sightseeing in Bukhara: Chashma Ayub Mazar (graveyard) (XIV-XIX c.c.), Poi-Kalan complex (XI-XVI c.c.), Miri-Arab madrassah (XVI c.), Lyabi-Hauz complex (XVI-XVII c.c.), Samanid's Mausoleum (IX-X c.c.), Nadir Divanbegi Madrassah (XVI c.), Ark - ancient fortress (VI-VII c.c.), Chor-Minor (XVIII c.) minaret. Night train to Tashkent.

Day 15: At 07:00 arrival to Tashkent. Free time. Departure from Tashkent.

Note: the tourists have to have the following trekking gear: trekking clothes and shoes, slipping bag, backpack.
