Like a string of pearls, every relationship is a collection of poignant moments of individual growth and mutual discovery. And when we’re lucky, there are a few gems of time that shine through our memories forever. We will help the two of you capture these fleeting moments – times when you simultaneously strengthen your bonds and enable each other to blossom independently.
Through play (hiking, mountain biking, ropes course, etc. for all ability levels) and introspection we will explore trust, instinct, self-confidence and respect to help you move through transitions together and cherish and learn from changes. The retreat is for mothers and their daughters eight years and older.
What To Expect at the Mother-Daughter Retreat:
- This is much more than simply a running, hiking or cycling retreat for mothers and daughters. It is about building a healthy lifestyle from the inside out – including building healthy relationships.
- You can expect a meaningful, rejuvenating and healthy vacation with lasting results. Each daily activity has been created to squeeze out as much fun as possible from the day, learn about ourselves, master new skills, see the most beautiful surroundings and make new friends.
- Throughout the retreat we offer activities for mothers and daughters together, as well as options for each to participate with their peers. When appropriate, (like for mountain biking) daughters will be matched with others their age and ability level.
Here are just a few of the body, mind and spirit activities and experiences in store for you:
Body:
- Outdoor adventures for all ability levels, including incredible hiking, trail running and cycling in magical forests and magnificent meadows. No experience is necessary. You’ll learn with others at your level!
- Small group sizes for all activities and all ability levels.
- Individual, personalized professional instruction and guidance, safe supervision of all activities and heart-felt support from our staff.
- Expert health, wellness and training tips from the pros on staff. Hear their stories, and find out how everyone is an athlete.
- Heart-rate monitor instruction and practice will make it simple to use this great fitness tool.
- Nutrition for the body, mind and spirit. Learn about nourishing yourself with healthful foods, as well as supportive internal messages about your body to help you feel good from the inside out. This is especially important for young girls.
Mind:
- Experience arts and crafts like never before. We’ll create art, express ourselves and learn about one another through fun and unique activities.
- Learn orienteering, and map and compass reading. This skill will stick with you for a lifetime, and can someday be a lifesaver.
- We’ll learn about the wonders of nature and ecology.
- Hear the famous and inspirational lecture/discussion, "The Hero's Journey," from former Olympian Lorraine Moller.
- You'll have the opportunity to participate in a challenge ropes course – a mirror for life's challenge – which develops confidence and individual vision.
Spirit:
- Wildflowers galore and amazing expansive views will free your spirit.
- We will rejoice in expression, exploration, and imagination. The staff integrates poetry, inspirational stories, and music into each program.
- Daily inspirational talks, heartfelt discussion and sharing, visualization, journaling and creative activities.
- We’ll help you overcome obstacles and unleash the courage to live your dreams. You’ll discover a process to identify and realize your heart's desire. This can stick with you for a lifetime and always be a pillar of support for you.
- Participate in daily yoga. Relax, strengthen, center, and empower yourself.
- We’ll free our minds and bodies with dance and breath awareness to discover the unique essence of each of us.

Airfare is not included in the tour price.
Cost: $2,000 for a mother-daughter pair. Each additional daughter is $700 (open to girls over 10 yrs.)
