Almost every safari experience you have ever dreamed about can come true in Botswana. Follow the rhythms of the seasons, and whether your interests are wildlife or bird watching you too will find that you are woven into this same rhythm.
Day 1-2: Okavango Delta/Camp Okavango
Accommodation: 2 Nights accommodation at Camp Okavango
On arrival in Maun you will be met by your guide and assisted to the airport for your charter flight to Camp Okavango where you will stay for 2 nights. This exclusive camp is situated on the remote Nxaragha Island in the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta, assuring a year-round water wilderness experience. Camp Okavango’s elegant thatch and lethaka main lodge building features a cocktail bar, lounge and wildlife reference library. The dining room leads onto an expansive open0air patio for evenings around the fireside. Other facilities include a secluded bird-viewing hide and a sun-kissed deck with plunge pool for relaxing during the hot midday hours. This Camp can accommodate only 24 guests in intimate exclusivity in East African-style safari tents, individually situated on raised teak platforms with en-suite facilities and private viewing decks. All game viewing activities are conducted by experienced professional guides and include exploring the Okavango by canoe (mokoro) and motorboat. Guided nature walks on the various islands allow for opportunity to track some larger species that inhabit this water wilderness. Bird-watching opportunities are outstanding and fishing for bream and tiger fish is also offered as an activity at the camp.
Day 3-4: Moremi/Camp Moremi
Accommodation: 2 Nights accommodation at Camp Moreni
Meals: All meals
Transfer to the airstrip for your charter flight to Camp Moremi. Once the plane has landed you will be transferred to the camp where you will stay for 2 nights. Camp Moremi is situated on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon on the eastern edges of the permanent Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Here, where the life-giving waters of the Okavango meet up with the vast Kalahari. Ancient Mopane forests, open grassland, seasonal floodplains and riverine habitats have formed, creating one of the most magnificent and welcoming animal sanctuaries in all of Africa. This tree lodge is an elegant elevated thatch and timber structure, consisting of a main lounge, wildlife reference library, dining room and cocktail bar. Other facilities include a secluded swimming pool with sun deck, thatched boma and elevated viewing hide with unsurpassed views of the Xakanaxa Lagoon. This camp can accommodate only 22 guests and the accommodation consists of safari tents, individually situated on raised teak platforms with private adjacent facilities & viewing decks. Activities include tracking big game by open 4x4 safari vehicles.
Day 5-6: Kasane/Chobe Game Lodge
Accommodation: 2 Nights at Chobe Game Lodge
Meals: All Meals
After breakfast you will catch your flight to Kasane. On arrival in Kasane you will be transferred to Chobe Game Lodge for 2 night’s accommodation. This lodge is located within the Chobe National Park where its wildlife roams in abundance and diversity. This park has the largest concentration of elephants in Africa. The lodge can accommodate 94 guests in luxurious air-conditioned river facing rooms and activities include game viewing via 4x4 or boats, cruises along the Chobe River in a double-decker river cruiser and much more. Other facilities include a gym, a large swimming pool with terrace and a riverside boma.
Day 7-8: Makgadikgadi/Jacks Camp
Accommodation: 2 Nights accommodation at Jacks Camp
Today you will be transferred to Kasane from where you will catch your fight to Jacks Camp in Makgadikgadi where you will be staying at Jack’s camp for 2 nights. This camp consists of ten green roomy and stylish canvas tents with en-suite bathrooms and indoor and outdoor showers (for those who want to feel the Kalahari breeze on their skin) have been fashioned in classical style and are set into a palm grove creating an oasis.
Day 9: Gweta to Maun to JNB
After breakfast transfer to Gweta from where you will catch you flight to Maun where you will check in for your flight to Johannesburg.
