From here continue into the heart of the Eastern Cape Game Route where you will check into the luxurious Bukela Game Lodge. The four suites are each individually styled in African simplicity while never compromising on luxury.
Each suite is well appointed for a guests’ optimal comfort with every amenity including large, en suite bathrooms each with a spa bath overlooking the African bush, an indoor and outdoor shower for the more adventurous, a central fireplace for romantic evenings, a private wooden deck, bar fridge and hot drink amenities.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1-2: Port Elizabeth, South Africa
After collecting you vehicle at the airport you will escape the city and take a short drive, towards the beautiful Maitlands dunes. Thunzi Lodge enjoys a secluded location deep in the coastal forest. Depending on your time of arrival you could go for a romantic stroll along the beach at sunset.
The next day could be spent doing bird watching from you private deck or exploring the forest on one of the many hiking trails. Horse riding and other adventure activities are offered close by - please inquire at reception.
Day 3-6: Bukela Game Lodge, Amakhala Game Reserve
After breakfast you will depart from your secret bush hide away and drive yourself to Bukela Game Lode, located close to Addo Elephant National Park. Your days will be spent outside, close to nature - doing game drives, bush walks and bird watching. You will enjoy a romantic sunset river cruise as part of the package. Should you wish, you could do a self-drive to Addo Elephant National Park, which is on your doorstep. At the end of six glorious days, you will return to Port Elizabeth and fly home.

Bukela Lodge offers visitors a luxury and exclusive BIG 5 African experience with game drives and sunset cruises. The lodge is situated overlooking a small dam frequented by Buffalo and enjoys maximum seclusion afforded by a surrounding riverine forest. Bukela features luxury suites, complete with en-suite bathrooms. Decorated in an African theme, the suites boast fireplaces, air conditioning and private verandas.
