Tour Itinerary:

Days 1-2: Cape Town. You will arrive in Cape Town and collect you car from the airport. The first 2 days will be spent at leisure in and around Cape Town. Included in your package is a “Cape Town Pass”, which will allow you to do a number of activities in and around Cape Town, or you can just sit back and take in the scenery.

Day 3: Stellenbosch. Today you take a short drive to the scenic and romantic wine route region of Stellenbosch. You can spend the day visiting wine estates and tasting all the culinary splendors and world class wine of the region.

Day 4: Hermanus. After breakfast you can take the scenic drive to Hermanus and on to your home for the evening, Abelone Guest House. Hermanus is a quaint coastal town and home to the annual Whale Festival. You can spend the day relaxing, walking along the beachfront or if you are feeling adventurous you can try and look for Great White Sharks.

Days 5-6: Knysna. Today you can take a leisurely and scenic drive along the Garden Route to the beautiful town of Knysna. Here you can enjoy all the splendors of the Garden Route and do a bit of shopping along the Knysna Waterfront. You can spend one day visiting the Knysna Elephant Sanctuary and Snake Park or select from a number of activities on offer in the region. Some of these include, forest hiking trails, boat cruises and for the more adventurous there are black water tubing and tree top tours.

Days 7-8: Amakhala Game Reserve. This is quiet a long drive so you should leave early to make it in time to relax a bit before you go on the afternoon Game Drive. The rest of the time will be spent relaxing at the lodge and doing game viewing or bird watching.

Days 9-10: Port Elizabeth. After the morning Game Drive at Amakhala you can take a drive to your final destination, Hacklewood Hill, Port Elizabeth, where you can relax along the beach front or catch up with some last minute shopping before you say your final good byes.

The Lodges

Floreal House: This magnificent, well-known Cape Town building boasts sweeping views of Table Mountain (below which it lies), the Harbor and Table Bay. Dating back to the 1920’s, the lodge is exceptionally stylish, with impressive white exterior and attractive wooden-framed windows, looking out on views in all directions. Allegria: Situated in the very heart of the Winelands, Allegria is the perfect base to discover the Winelands, Cape Town and beyond. Abelone Guest House: Uniquely artistic, with original South African art as part of its charm, Abalone Lodge is well positioned on Sievers Point, a landmark position in Hermanus. With easy access to the cliff path, this stylish and contemporary Lodge is a superb whale watching spot. Each of it’s eight spacious bedrooms has either a sea, mountain or garden view and offers a balcony, television, tea and coffee tray. Experience a quiet, relaxed atmosphere in a tranquil setting.
