The Spice Island of Zanzibar lies off the coast of Tanzania in the Indian Ocean. It is famous for once being the center of East Africa and the last place to abolish slave trade. Today it combines ancient ruins with miles of white sandy palm fringed beaches and coves. The ocean offers warm clear blue waters, excellent reefs for snorkeling and diving, fantastic deep sea fishing, water sports and, of course, delicious fresh sea food. Zanzibar is a place were you will find the exotic and loose yourself within its clear waters and friendly natives…This package combines the exotic Zanzibar with a very memorable Hot Air Balloon Safari over the Serengeti.
Day 1- 6: Zanzibar/Mapenzi Beach Club
Accommodation: 6 nights in a Sea Front Room

Check in at the Johannesburg International Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival in Zanzibar you wil be met and transferred to Mapenzi Beach Club. Enjoy a welcome drink while you check in. Mapenzi Beach Club is located on the north-eastern side of Zanzibar on a great stretch of beach. Mapenzi is also located some distance away from the other hotels in this area so you are able to enjoy a long stretch of palm-fringed beach shared only with the local fishermen bicycling past. The hotel offers a programme of activities and entertainment so you never have to worry about being bored in paradise. And there are many ways to work off any over-indulgences at the buffet table - water sports, swimming pool, aerobics and beach games. All the rooms are attractively decorated with carved beds and doors and mozzie nets over the beds. They are extremely comfortable and have verandas. Each room has en-suite facilities with hot water, a hairdryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, telephone and safe deposit box.

The vast and sensational Serengeti is the epitome of most people's dreams about wild Africa; its endless rolling plains perfectly honour the meaning of its name in the Maasai language: Seregenget or Siringitu is the place where the land moves on forever. Seronera is one of the most important spots of Serengeti National Park, where you can witness an actual kill in the flesh. This area is in the heart of the Serengeti, where all game drive, balloon safari, and catching planes take place. Seronera Wildlife Lodge is located in the migratory route, and it provides front- seat viewing of this extraordinary natural phenomenon. Seronera Wildlife Lodge has 75 spacious guestrooms, all of them affording stunning views over the Serengeti plains. Elegantly decorated in authentic traditional African style, the rooms are fully equipped with en suite bathrooms, shower attachments, bathtub and central heating system. King – size beds are provided with mosquito nets over the air vents.
During your stay at Seronera Wildlife Lodge you will enjoy a Hot Air Balloon safari over the Serengeti. This is definitely one of the most spectacular and awesome experiences. You wil be picked up from the lodge very early in the morning and transferred to the launch area. Launch takes place at 06h30, when you will enjoy a 1 hour Balloon safari follows by champagne and a full English breakfast in the Bush.

Day 10: Departure
Transfer to the airport after breakfast to check in for your flight to Johannesburg
