Tour Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Lhasa
Accommodation: New Mandala Hotel or Similar if late booking
Our Tibetan English-speaking tour guide will meet you at Gonggar Airport and greet you with a white scarf (called kada) in a Tibetan traditional way. Then transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa (about 100km’s driving). Upon arrival, just take rest for high altitude acclimatization.
Day 02: Sightsee in Lhasa
Accommodation: New Mandala Hotel or Similar [B]
We'll start from the spiritual center of Tibetan Buddhism - Jokhang Temple and the bustling Barkhor Street around it.
In the afternoon, we'll visit the most beautiful splendor in Tibet - Potala Palace, the symbol of Tibetan people's wisdom and power.
And at evening, pay a visit to a local Tibetan family.
Day 03: Lhasa-Gyantse
Accommodation: Gyantse Hotel or Similar [B]
In the fresh morning air, we'll drive about 270km to the historical town of Gyantse crossing Karola Pass (5010m) and Khambala Pass (4800m). On the way, we'll take a pleasant walk at the beautiful Yamdrok Yumtso Lake, one of the holy lakes in Tibet. And upon arrival at Gyantse, visit the famous Pelkor Monastery and its superb Kumbu Stupa, a stunning architectural wonder in Tibet.
Day 04: Gyantse-Shigatse
Accommodation: Shigatse Yak Hotel or Similar [B]
Drive about 90km to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. We'll visit the foremost attraction there - Tashilumpo Monastery and stroll around the old town for the nicely decorated Tibetan houses, interesting local bazaar..
Day 05: Shigatse-Lhasa
Accommodation: New Mandala Hotel or Similar [B]
Today we'll drive back to Lhasa along the Yarlung Tsangpu River. The rest time is free for you to explore the old city before leaving..
Day 06: Leave [B]
The tour guide will transfer you to Gonggar Airport and help you board the plane to your next destination. Your wonderful Middle Tibet tour ends.

Excluding:
1) private expenses like IDD calls, laundry, tips to the tour guide / driver, etc.;
2) wire transfer fee if any.
Please kindly note that meals (lunch and dinner) usually can be arranged easily yourselves thus you can choose any food/restaurant you like and have more free time. The tour guide and driver can always help if necessary. If leave it to us, it costs around 50CNY/p.p for a lunch or dinner.
And we'll have no problem to help you arrange connection tours in main places in China and Nepal.
