15 Feb 2007 - Arrive in Lhasa
Accommodation: Gorkha Hotel or Similar if late booking
Our Tibetan English-speaking tour guide will meet you at Gonggar Airport and greet you with a white scarf (called kada) in a Tibetan traditional way. Then transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa (about 100km’s driving). Upon arrival, just take rest for high altitude acclimatization.
16 Feb 2007 - Dancing Ceremony in Tsupu Monastery

Our wonderful Tibetan New Year Festival tour starts from Tsupu Monastery, the home monastery of Gagyu Order. Today there is an important dancing ceremony for driving off evil spirits before the Tibetan New Year.
17 Feb 2007 - Sightsee in Lhasa

Visit the great Gelugpa monastery - Drepung Monastery about 8km west of centeral Lhasa. It was once the world's largest monastery hoursing more than 10,000 monks.
In the afternoon, we'll visit the most beautiful splendor in Tibet - Potala Palace, the symbol of Tibetan people's wisdom and power.
18 Feb 2007 - Tibetan New Year Festvial
Accommodation: Gorkha Hotel or Similar [B]
In the morning, we’ll visit the spiritual center of Tibetan Buddhism - Jokhang Temple. Around it is the famous bustling Barkhor Street where you can get a close touch with local Tibetans.
In the afternoon, we’ll stay with a local Tibetan family to spend Tibetan New Year Festival with them.
19 Feb 2007 - Tibetan New Year Festival

This morning we will go to the old town of Lhasa where you will to see the colorful prayer flags everywhere and also local people in new clothes…
In the afternoon, visit the Sera Monastery for the interesting "Buddhism Scriptures Debating" between Lamas.
20 Feb 2007 - Leave [B]
The tour guide will transfer you to Gonggar Airport and help you board the plane to your next destination. Your wonderful Tibetan New Year Festival tour ends.

Flight Cost:
The most convenient places for foreign clients to make connection to Lhasa could be Beijing and Chengdu where there is regular flight every day.
The airfare of Beijing-Lhasa flight costs 339USD/p.p, including all airport taxes and fule surcharges. And that of Chengdu-Lhasa flight costs 217USD/p.p, including the same.
