Tour of Victoria Falls Livingstone - Zambia and Chobe National Park – Botswana
On the day of your arrival, you will be welcomed at the Livingstone International Airport and you will be transferred to The Zambezi Sun International Hotel. This is a 3 star International Luxury and Corporate Hotel which is just on the banks of The Mighty Zambezi River just overlooking the Mighty Victoria Falls. It is actually a few minutes walk to the Victoria Falls.
After having an hour or less of refreshing yourself, you will straight away start your tour and go for an afternoon Sunset Luxury River Cruise on the African Queen Vessel on the waters of the Mighty Zambezi River. Thereafter, you will be transferred back to the Hotel for your Dinner and have your 1st night at the Hotel.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: After your Breakfast at the Hotel, you will then go for the most wonderful and awesome activity, the tour of the Victoria Falls. Situated about 10km from the City of Livingstone, the Victoria Falls is one of the world’s seven natural wonders and one of the most spectacular natural sites in the world. The falls are 1.7km wide with a volume of 9 million liters per second pouring down a vertical drop of 100 metres. The vapor can be clearly seen from a distance of 30km hence its name Mosi-o-tunya. “The Smoke that Thunders.”
After this tour, you will go for another tour, the tour of Mukuni Village. The Mukuni Village is an African Traditional Village for the Leya people situated east of the Falls and has over 7,000 inhabitants. The Leya people have lived in the falls area since the 1600`s and have several rituals and ceremonies centered around the Victoria Falls.
After this tour, you will be sure to need your lunch and you will have it at Hippos Restaurant. After your lunch, you will go for the visit to the Livingstone Crocodile Park. The Park is stocked with some of the Livingstone’s most notorious crocodiles and a fascinating collection of Zambia’s most dangerous snakes. This is a must visit Park for tourists. Then you will have a visit to the Livingstone Museum. The Museum houses the most comprehensive collection of memorabilia of the explorer and missionary David Livingstone and also examples of Zambia’s excellent ethnic craftsmanship and art, permanent interpretative exhibitions on pre-history, ethnology natural history and Zambia’s history.
After this you will have your dinner and spend your 2nd night at the Hotel.
Day 2: After your Breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in the Mosi-o-tunya National Park. This is the only Park in Zambia where you will see the White Rhino. You will have a chance to see the African Elephant, Giraffe, Buffalo, Wildebeests, Zebra, Impala, Warthogs and many more. After this activity, you will have a 30 minutes helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls, the Batoka Gorge, Zambezi River and the Mosi-o-tunya National Park.
After lunch, you will go for a ride or a walk on or with an African tamed elephant. After this you will have your dinner, then your 3rd night at the Zambezi Sun Hotel.
Day 3: After Breakfast, you will have a choice of doing either white water rafting full day or canoeing full day. Then you will have your dinner and a rest at the hotel.
Day 4: This is the day that you choose your activity you wish to do. You may choose to a maximum of 3 activities from the list bellow:
- River Safaris
- 111m Banji Jump
- Tandem
- Half Day Abseiling
- Gorge Swing
- Cable Slide
- Bridge Tour
- 15 minutes micro light flight
After this, you will have your Dinner at Natural Mystic Lodge and the 5th night at the Hotel.
Day 5: After an early Breakfast at the Hotel, you will then be transferred to Chobe in Botswana for the Chobe Day trip. On this trip, you will be exposed to the magic that only Chobe can offer. The activity begins with a three hour boat cruise on the tranquil Chobe River, where there is an astounding abundance of bird life and game viewing opportunities. Following your boat cruise, a sumptuous lunch will be served at a river side hotel after which you will experience yet more of Chobe`s bountiful wildlife from the comfort of one of the custom built game viewing vehicles.
After your transfer back from Chobezi, you will be treated to an African Dinner for your last night in Zambia. Then have your night rest at the Hotel.
Day 6: After Breakfast, you will then be transferred to Livingstone Airport for your flight back to your destination.
