23rd March you arrive in Maun and overnight at Thamalakane River Lodge. 24th March: We collect you at 9am before going to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve for 3 nights at a site overlooking Deception Valley. After enjoying this area we move to Pipers Pans for another 2 nights, the vegetation is amazing here and the Kalahari should be a sea of grasses. These grasses attract huge numbers of herbivores and this in turn attracts the predators, we should see a lot! On the 29th we return to Maun and overnight again at Thamalakane River Lodge. On the 30th we drive to Khwai Magotho, a stunning area on the opposite side of the Khwai River to Moremi Game reserve. We can get out of the vehicle here and do night driving, at the guides discretion. We spend three nights here before driving north to Savuti. Savuti is becoming a wetland paradise again as the marsh continues to fill up. Savuti was our best area for leopard sightings in 2011 - on one safari we saw 5 different leopards in 3 days, quite amazing! On the 5th April we drive up to the Chobe River and spend a night here in an exclusive site near the river. You will have a 3 hour boat cruise on the Chobe River the next morning before transferring to Victoria Falls. It is full moon on the 6th so you will have a chance to see the amazing Lunar Rainbow! A 3 night extension to Victoria Falls is an extra $600 per person, this excludes activities in Vic Falls.
