Designed to maximize your enjoyment and pleasure over a 2 day period near Jian Kou, which is famous for its steepness and beauty and the best part of the Great Wall of China, you'll enjoy river and lake fishing together with campfire cooking and accommodation in a farmers house - just the thing to give you an appreciation of the local people, their hospitality and culture.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Your Personal China Fishing Guide Service
In the summer and autumn season we fresh water fish, in winter we go ice fishing. I will pick up you from hotels in Beijing with a car in the early morning. Driving 2.5 hours to river 110 km away north of Beijing where we can start fishing , I will provide rod and reel and bait and lure for you , if you do fly fishing pls take your gear . There are various kinds of fish: Trout , snake head , chub , catfish , carp , crucian , grass fish etc . In the late afternoon we will finish our fishing trip and we can setup a fire to cook our fish or we can have farmhouse supper.
After supper we will start driving another 60 minutes to the foot of the wild Great Wall JianKou. We will stay in a farm house and you are able to chat with local house owner, I will be your interpreter. As we sit in the yard of the farmhouse we can see the mysterious Great Wall tower – North tower in a distance. The tower has been there for more than 2000 years and it has not been repaired; t it looks as it did 2000 years ago. The tower is always there to greet us.
Day 2: Great Wall China Tour
The morning rooster call will wake us up and we will have a well prepared breakfast. We will start after breakfast climbing about 50 minutes to the top of the mountain to the wild Great Wall of China. Walking 4 hours or more as you wish on the Great Wall and experience the beauty and steepness of the Great Wall. It is another hour down to the village.
China Adventure Tour Travel
What I offer is certainly off the beaten track. Few persons ever go where I am about to take you. I am local Chinese, and your adventure is the result of my expertise in planning, driving, hiking, and language. As "Your China Guy" I will fully take care of you. The only thing left is the memory of this alternative experience that will last your entire lifetime!
First-time visitors to China who want to experience the Great Wall have few options. They can reach it via a general guided tour, or they can reach it through specific arranged services. What I offer is vastly different than a guided tour.
The Usual Great Wall Guided Tour
This is generally the all-day trip that the typical tourist experiences: You will be transported to a large parking area shared by busses, cars, and hundreds of people. Groomed paths will head up the mountain filled with visitors. Once you reach the wall you will share it with even hundreds of more persons. Children, litter, concession areas, vendors, rest rooms, and whatever else reaches the wall with ease will walk the Great Wall with you. You will be like a sardine in a tin, and that is China tourist typical. If that’s what you want, you do not need me.
The Great Wall Alternative
This is the trip that visitors seldom get to experience. Your own English-speaking guide will transport you to a remote farm setting where you will spend the night and dine on freshly prepared food. In the morning you will awake refreshed, have breakfast, and then be guided to a remote section of the Great Wall that is not renovated. You will see it all as it was, untouched and left as an archeological site for the favored few. There will be no children, litter, concession areas, vendors, rest rooms, or anything else that walks with you. Where I take you will be China majesty that is untypical. Only through the services of a bilingual hiker, organizer and guide could such a trip be accomplished. If thats what you want, then you do need me.
