Tour Itinerary
Day of arrival: On the day of your arrival, we shall welcome you at the Livingstone International Airport and you will be transferred to Natural Mystic Lodge which is on the banks of the Zambezi River, or to The Bush Front Lodge which is within Mosi-o-tunya National Park and just a few kms from the Victoria Falls. You will relax in your romantic rooms and later have your first night Candle Light Dinner.
Day 1: After an early Breakfast or probably a packed take away Breakfast, you will be on your way to Lake Kariba Houseboat. You will have your lunch and drinks on the way. You will be made welcome and shown aboard the House Boat. The Kohlisa 1 sleeps a maximum of 30 clients. You can enjoy the open air breezes and spectacular scenery from any of the 3 decks, have a drink at the bar, kickback in the plunge pool, while enjoying the smells of fresh bream being cooked on the braii. Make use of the Tender boat for a Sun Downer Cruise or catching the might Tiger Fish. After your arrival at the house boat, you will have the chance to relax, enjoy a cold drink and a beautiful sunset. You will enjoy a feast prepared by our Chef and spend the evening as you wish enjoying the company of friends and nature at its finest as the boat floats on Lake Kariba – the largest man made lake in the world.
Day 2: Early the next morning the house boat will depart for Maaze Island, where you will enjoy a beautiful Lake breeze as you travel while having your full breakfast. After mooring on Maaze, you will have a visit to one of the world`s largest crocodile farms and experience viewing huge crocodiles and prolific bird life in natural breeding dams. Following the few hours spent on this activity, you will have lunch and the chance to pass away sometime fishing, game viewing by tender boat, relaxing in the pool, or catching some sun on the sundeck. For those who wish, a game walk in the late afternoon is a wonderful way to work up an appetite (and thirst)! A stunning sunset is always on order, and precedes a fantastic three Course Romance Dinner.
Day 3: The following morning will see you heading into the Chete National Park, for an excellent chance to see the elephant swimming and at play. The Lake Kariba areas supports prolific bird life and opportunities abound for seeing anything from King fishers to herons to the beautiful fish eagle. The boat will moor inside the Park for lunch, before heading up the spectacular Chete Gorge, the way to Mashapi Island, where you will pull up with the Island to yourself and have the chance to stretch your legs on the golden sand beach and watch yet another stunning sunset.
Day 4: On the final morning, you will have breakfast while enroute back to harbour. Then you will be on your way back to Livingstone. You will have lunch on your way. On arrival in Livingstone, you will now be staying at The Royal Livingstone Sun International Hotel. This is a five star Luxury Hotel and you will be accommodated in a Superior Honeymoon/romance suite. You will receive VIP treatment including fruits, flowers and sparkling wine in the room on arrival. You will have Private Dinner for two under the African Sky.
The Hotel is on the banks of the Mighty Zambezi River just overlooking the smoke from the Victoria Falls.
Day 5: After breakfast, you will have the long awaited tour of the Victoria Falls. The Falls is one of the world`s Seven Natural Wonders and one of the most spectacular natural sites in the world. The Falls are 1.7km wide with a volume of 9 million litres per second poring down a vertical drop of 100 metres. The Vapour can be clearly seen from a distance of 30km hence its name Mosi-o-tunya “The Smoke that thunders”.
After this you will go for a tour of Mukuni Village. The Mukuni Village is an African Traditional Village for the LEYA people.
After you lunch, you will have a 30 minutes helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls, the Batoka Gorge, Zambezi River and Mosi-o-tunya National Park. Then, you will go for the African Queen Luxury Sunset Cruise on the waters of the Zambezi, then a Private Driver.
Day 6: After breakfast, you will have a moving Rhino Walk or a Walking Safari depending on availability. Then you will have a visit to the Crocodile Park. After lunch, you will have a choice either to ride on an African tamed elephant to have a walk with the elephant.
Day 7: After Breakfast, you will go to Botswana for the Chobe Day Trip on this trip, you will be exposed to the magic that only Chobe can offer. The activity (while in Botswana) begins with a three hour boat cruise on the tranquil Chobe River, where there is an astounding abundance of bird life and game viewing opportunities. Following your boat cruise, a sumptuous lunch will be served at a river side hotel after which you will be experienced yet more of Chobe`s bountiful wildlife form the comfort of one of the custom built game viewing vehicles.
On arrival from Chobe (Botswana), you will have a one hour or less rest at the hotel, then you will be treated to an African Dinner for your last night in Zambia.
Day 8: Day of departure. After Breakfast, you will be transferred to the Livingstone Airport for your flight back to your destination.
