From the twisting narrow streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter and emerald green waters of Ha Long Bay, travel through the heart of Vietnam’s vibrant past to majestic Hue and quaint Hoi An. Feast on seafood in Nha Trang and relax in the cool French mountain resort of Dalat before arriving in bustling Saigon. End your journey in the fertile Mekong Delta, where the traditional lifestyle of Vietnamese farmers lives on into the 21st century.

Your Itinerary:

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Hanoi. The rest of day is free at your leisure.

Day 2: Hanoi (B)

We take full-day city tour to the Ho Chi Minh complex, starting at the President’s Mausoleum. We continue to his humble “house on stilts”, see the French colonial Presidential Palace and the 11th century One-Pillar Pagoda. Afterwards we go to the Museum of Ethnology, which is an excellent museum containing the ethnic costumes of the various minorities of VN, as well as relics, tools and even full size replicas of their homes and buildings.
After lunch, we visit the Temple of Literature, the first Vietnam University dating to 1070. We then take a Cyclo tour through the Old Quarter, walk around the Hoan Kiem Lake before attending a famous Water Puppet show in the early evening.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/ L/ D)

We leave Hanoi for 3-hour drive to the Halong Bay, a natural wonder with thousands of islands rising out of the water, creating a unique and beautiful landscape. On arrival we board our traditional junk for a journey through the 3000 limestone islands dotted with caves and grottoes.

There is time for exploring the Bay at a leisure pace: swimming, relaxing and experiencing the magic of falling asleep on board in this beautiful part of the world.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B)

Early risers can enjoy a morning swim in a quite firth. After breakfast, continue enjoy cruising and swimming until time for lunch and check out procedure. The junk arrives at the quay around 12.00pm. We drive back Hanoi with a stop at Dong Trieu ceramic and pottery village.

Day 5: Hanoi – Hue (B)

We take a morning flight to Hue, the last Imperial City of Vietnam in the Central. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Hue.

In the afternoon we begin to see the Imperial Citadel and Forbidden City, created in the 19th century for the Emperors under Nguyen Dynasty. We then drive outskirts of Hue to the impressive tomb of King Khai Dinh.

Day 6: Hue – Hoi An (B)

This morning we boat along the romantic Perfume River, seeing the peaceful landscape set on the banks. We stop to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the best-known religious sites in Hue and then continue boating upward the River to see the Royal tomb of King
Minh Mang.

After lunch we travel southward to the enchanting port town of Hoi An, passing the scenic fishing villages of Lang Co and the spectacular Hai Van Pass.

Day 7: Hoi An (B)

Today we walk around this historic town. This World Heritage Site combines Chinese, Japanese, European and Vietnamese influences, we follow it narrow lanes lined with centuries-old buildings and visit its numerous places of interests.

The afternoon is free to explore by your own. Take a short journey to the beach nearby, get some clothes tailor-made in town or enjoy a gentle cruise along the Thu Bon River.

Day 8: Hoi An – Da Nang – Nha Trang (B)

We transfer to Da Nang airport to catch a short flight to Nha Trang, a coastal town being listed as the member of the Most Beautiful Bays of the World Club. This afternoon, we start our city tour to the Po Nagar temple, a sacred Hindu site dating back to the 7th century.

Day 9: Nha Trang (B/L)

A day of leisure and indulgence as we cruise through pristine waters amongst the islands. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and a fresh local seafood lunch. Return to the Nha Trang in mid afternoon for free time to explore the town or swim at the main beach.

Day 10: Nha Trang – Da Lat (B)

Morning we take a road journey to Da Lat (250km) - a beautiful town in the Central Highlands developed by the French colonialists as a health resort and hunting center.

We spend this afternoon visiting the Cathedral and the Central Market where we might be bewildered with a riot of multi-colored flowers as well as various kinds of fresh vegetable and mouthwatering fruits. We continue to Linh Son Pagoda built since 1938 on a hill overlooking the centre of Dalat. The last place today is Minh Tam flower garden – the biggest flower garden in town.

Day 11: Da Lat – Saigon (B)

We leave Dalat for scenic drive, crossing tea, coffee and rubber plantations to Ho Chi Minh City (300km). On the way we stop at Dambri Water Fall. The rest of day is at leisure in Ho Chi Minh
city.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City (B)

We explore city’s grand boulevards, passing famous sites such as the Re-Unification Palace, the Old Saigon Post Office, and the Notre Dame Cathedral.

We leave Ho Chi Minh City after lunch to Cu Chi tunnels, an incredible underground system covering nearly 250km, was shelter to over 16,000 communist guerrillas during the war. Come back the City in late afternoon.

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B/L)

We leave Saigon by road to the watery world of the Mekong Delta – Vietnam’s most fertile region and the source of a large amount of the country’s fresh food. On arrival in Vinh Long province, we take a boat trip along the narrow waterways, overhung with dense vegetation and try exotic fruits in one of the orchards.
Lunch with local delicacies served in a bonsai garden. We the cross the Mekong River by a ferry to the Can Tho province. In Can Tho, we visit to local fruit markets.

Day 14: Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh City (B)

We spend this morning for a boat trip to visit the Cai Rang Floating market, one the busiest floating markets in the South East Asia. After the boat trip, we drive back to Saigon.

Day 15: Saigon Departure (B)

You are free at leisure until transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for departure.
