The opportunity to experience the cape wine lands area with its superb landscape and scenery boasting 2 superior class golf courses namely; Spier an Estate Course kitted for the whole family or couple and Stellenbosch a beautiful place in the Cape.
Your next stop is the town of Hermanus an old fishing village built along the shores of Walker Bay, near the Southern most tip of Africa, Cape Point where the first foreign arrivals where greeted by the rocky shoreline, beautifully colored with the fynbos of the cape. Magnificent mountains watch over the town, home of the Southern Right Whale commonly seen from great view places in Hermanus, be sure to request a meal at bientangs cave, the last strandloper lived in the cave on this beautiful cape shoreline.
Nature lovers from all over the world visit Hermanus to view these magnificent creatures of the mammal species, from the best land based whale watching destination in the world. The Hermanus Golf Course is close enough to the coast to be termed a links course but has a very definite parklands feel to it.
Travel along the Garden Route towards Knysna where you will settle in for 3 nights, perched on top of the Welbedacht Cliff Tops a mere 3km from Knysna Town. The Lodge overlooks the Knysna Lagoon and the Outeniqua mountains. The theme of this Lodge is one based on natural beauty with stone and wood architecture combining to give that comfortable earth feel.
The Pezula Championship Golf Course is perched above the Indian Ocean and the Knysna lagoon. It is a sweeping spectacle of fairways and greens rolling through the pristine southern cape landscape.
A short drive will take you to the coastal town of Plettenberg Bay, Plettenberg Bay is a jewel of The Garden Route in South Africa. It's more than a village; Plettenberg Bay is tranquil and charming, hospitable and rather special. Originally christened "Bahia Formosa" (beautiful bay) by early Portuguese explorers, also boasts one of the best beaches in SA.
A round of golf is included at the Plettenberg Bay Golf Course with main tourist attractions being the challenging layout built to USGA specifications and rated 29 in South Africa. Set in a nature reserve, the indigenous Flora attracts a large variety of bird life and small animals like antelope and bush pig, offering the delight of playing African golf!
Your last round of golf to finish off your holiday or vacation to the western cape is at Goosevalley Country Club - this magnificent estate offers a Gary Player designed 72 par, 18 hole golf course. Golfers will experience breathtaking views of the lagoon, the ocean and the Tsitsikamma Mountains.
