This retreat is held at the beautiful Villa Sumaya Retreat Center, perched on the side of Lake Atitlan (considered by many to be the most beautiful lake in the world). Each room has a porch with a hammock and view of the lake and the volcanoes on the far shore.
The studio is set on the water front, and features polished wood floors and floor to ceiling windows looking across the lake to 3 volcanoes.
Each day includes 3 wonderful vegetarian meals (with fish options), prepared by exceptional chefs. Most days we will have 3 yoga classes - one at sunrise for early risers, another prior to lunch and one before bed. In addition, Charles will lead a variety of workshops on different topics including breathing, sense withdrawal, improving concentration, creative writing and more. During the week we will learn and practice a variety of different types of meditation including walking, eating, breath awareness, as well as more traditional seated meditations.
One full day and two half days are set aside for exploring the spectacular setting of lake Atitlan, including a trip to hot springs, and visiting three or four of the surrounding Mayan villages. Great shopping is also available in Santiago and Panajachel.
Charles MacInerney is a Nationally known teacher of yoga and meditation. He has studied Yoga since 1971 and is the co-founder of the Living Yoga Teacher Training program (one of the most successful programs in the United States), and the Texas Yoga Retreat. He is regularly featured at Regional, National, and International conferences, and is often quoted, interviewed, or invited to write for the Yoga Journal. He has led over 70 retreats since 1992.

Cost includes round trip transportation from Antigua, Guatemala to Panajachel by private bus and from Pana to the retreat center by private boat. It also includes lodgings, 3 meals a day, all yoga classes, workshops and handouts, hot tub and sauna.
Massage, shopping, and tours are extra, but prices are very reasonable.
