This 4-day excursion gives you the opportunity to explore another face of Canaima National Park, this time to discover, the Indian communities around it. We will see waterfalls located along the route and tepuys but this time they look further away.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Leaving from Santa Elena de Uairen at 8:00. First stop to visit Quebrada de Jaspe, a waterfall with red colors, and falling with shining elegance. After we will take two-hour ride to arrive to Luepa. Our next three hours will be off-road driving to Kavanayen, located in the heart of Gran Sabana. Where Indian people work with Fathers (catholic church) to improve their agriculture techniques. Now the journey gives you pretty green landscapes! Orchids, carnivorous plants, it looks like a driving over the summit. Our camp is besides Kuruai River at the base of the Soropan Tepuy, a beautiful place to rest and sleep.

Day 2: We will have breakfast to get energy then take a 2-4 hours walk through the rainforest, an interesting moment to see medicinal plants all around you. Local tour guides will explain about Indian techniques for hunting, and try “cachire” typical beer (made with manioc, or batata) Lunch at the camp. During the afternoon we visit a waterslide located 15 minutes away from the camp has its waters ready for a fresh-up moment. Overnight in Mantopai.

Day 3: A 20 minute drive to Iboribo Indian village, where we take a 20 minutes boat trip to get to the Chinak Merú, 107 mt free fall, which is the highest one around here. Picture time, enjoy the view, and then go back to the village for lunch. Sunset is coming; we drive to the camp at the Kama waterfall.

Day 4: After breakfast; enjoy a swim at the waterfall Kawi, 8 meter high drop. Jump? Just do it! After this stopover at the view point of the flat-top mountain, have lunch in the Indian community of San Francisco, to continue to La Cortina waterfall. Arrive to Santa Elena in the afternoon.
