We begin in to Siem Reap, home to the remarkable temples of Angkor. After seeing its highlights, we get off the beaten path to explore some of the lesser-visited temples outside of the main Angkor complex. We travel overland through the picturesque Cambodian countryside to the capital, Phnom Penh, whose colonial architecture and riverside location creates an atmosphere of tranquility after decades of trauma and civil war.

Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Siem Reap Arrival
You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Siem Reap. Today we will visit Angkor Silk Farm, a fascinating place to learn about Cambodian silk and the Chantiers Ecoles (Artisans d’Angkor), a woodworking, stone carving and polychromy training center. Then enjoy the sunset view from Phnom Bakheng.

Day 2: Siem Reap: Angko Wat (B)
We spend full day discovering the famous Angkor Complex. We enter the South Gate of Enjoy the superb view of sunset from Phnom Bakheng hill. Temple and marvel the wonders of the eerie Bayon, the terrace of Elephants and terrace of Leper King. Afterwards, we continue to visit Ta Prohm temple, shrouded in jungle and left just it was founded by French explorers in 1850s. After lunch, visit the Angkor Wat Temple. The architectural master piece was built in the 12th century, took 30 years to complete and represents the Khmer civilization at its grandest.

Day 3: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh (B)
This morning we travel overland through the picturesque Cambodia countryside from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. Along the way, we will visit Sambor Prei Kuk, the most impressive group of pre-Angkorian monuments in Cambodia.

Day 4: Phnom Penh (B)
After breakfast we take an excursion to Killing Fields, the infamous camp was the site of mass executions under the Khmer Rouge and is now a memorial to its thousands of victims. Drive back to Phnom Penh to visit the Royal Palace, the incredible solid silver-floored Silver Pagoda and the National Museum, a treasure chest of Angkorian and pre-Angkorian artefacts. We end our city tour with visit to Wat Phnom pagoda before shopping at the central market.

Day 5: Phnom Penh departure (B)
Free at leisure. You will be transfered to airport for return flight.
