- Heavy clothing and coat for the mountain weather - Poncho or raincoat, in case of raining - Special mountain boots - Sunglasses - Sun block lotion and anti-mosquito spray - Hat, cap or visor - Camera/roll of film and binoculars - Pocket flashlight. Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Car ride on 4x4 vehicles, going up through Paramo, visit to Mucubaji Lagoon, quiet place, with the biggest lagoon in the park, with the Mucunuque peak watching the waters. We’ll make a tour to the Black Lagoon (4 km), with beautiful views of the Paramos, pines, and frailejones. Continue to the condor biological station, where lives the biggest bird in the world "Combatiente" located in the Mifafi Valley, then go a few kilometers to the Aguila Peak, the highets road point in Venezuela (4.125 m). Descent to San Rafael of Mucuchíes to take a road that will leave us on the highest point of the wilderness region. Camp in the open air a few kilometers away in the Piedras Blancas Peak (4.762 m). Day 2: Take a constantly ascending hike to the Sugar Bread Peak. During the trip we will pass through a spectacular corridor, where you can appreciate some of the eccentric huge "frailejones" flowers, more than 2 meters high and about 150 years old. Spend the night at the Sugar Bread Peak base. Day 3: This day, we have an optional trek towards the summit, with a splendid view of Lake Maracaibo, Serranías in Mérida and Sierra del Cocuy in Colombia. In the afternoon we will descend through the Venezuelan Andean valleys where a jeep will be waiting for us, to make our way back. Notes: Price Includes:
