The desert between Wadi Rum and Petra is awe inspiring in its beauty and extraordinary moon like landscape. It is a region filled with history, battles and revolutions reaching back as far as the Old Testament when Solomon and Aaron passed through in their search for the Promised Land.

Its commercial importance peaked during the Nabatean area, when gold silks and perfumes were carried along the same paths we will be treading. Our trek starts from their capital, Petra a symbol to their success and wealth remains one of the wonders of the world and finishes in Wadi Rum, scene of the Arab uprising in the 1920's championed by Lawrence of Arabia.

As we make our way south we cannot but wonder and admire the advanced technology used by this extraordinary trading nation to trap and carry the little rain that falls in this arid desert. A trek you are unlikely ever to repeat or forget.

Please note: Daily riding between 30-45 km. All our routes we choose are flat, easy riding, including lots of sight-seeing, off the beaten track, viewing, natural, archaeological, ecological sites, riding through canyons, sand dunes, stopping to visit Bedouin tribes, climbing and trekking some times…

More highlights of this tour: to experience the life of the desert, to view cultural and natural resources, and above all to learn something new. Our Horse riding program built for clients to see a variety of Jordan sights; an escape from the modern life to the wilderness of the Arabian Desert. The wake-up call will be the melodic song of the horses ready to depart for a day of adventure. Clients will be awed by the sights and sounds of the entire tour throughout Jordan.

Our horse riding programs are unique program, it is loads of fun, to sit around the fire, under the stars, and to enjoy the romance of the Arabian desert. For sure you will make new friends.

We choose the most beautiful areas of Wadi Rum, non-tourist sites. There will be constant briefings throughout the ride by the guide as well as stops for tea and water and to give riders a short break from time to time.

What to Bring:

• Riding trousers, strong but light
• Short riding boots and chaps
• T-shirt and long sleeved shirts
• Head protection from the sun (we strongly recommend a hard hat)
• Fleece and windproof jacket (in winter it may be cold at night).
• Sandals or other shoes for camp
• Sunglasses
• 2-litre water bottle
• Torch.
