Ropes, water, adventure and adrenaline...just what you need to make a change in your life! Take a day from Mérida to explore the incredibly beautiful Santa Catalina canyon by walking, sliding, rolling and abseiling (rappelling) down waterfalls.
At 9:00 am, we will pick you up to take you on the cayoning expedition and take you to El Morro, our starting point, which is about around 35 minutes by car. We will walk for another 10 minutes until we reach the Santa Catalina River. Here we will prepare for the crayoning adventure! We will give you your gear (neoprene suits, helmets, arness, carabines, etc.) and get ready for the slides, jumps, and rappeling waterfalls (3 in total). This tour lasts around 5 hours and a lunch will be provided. After lunch, we take you back to your hotel to enjoy the rest of the evening in Merida.
Trip Includes:
Transport from and to Mérida
Snacks and a late (4 p.m.) lunch, plus all the water you want
All canyoning equipment including helmets, harnesses, neoprene canyoning wet suits, etc.
A maximum guide:client ratio of 1:5.
Drilled and installed Petzl safety features with chains in the canyon
Professional internationally trained instructors.
Glasses, cameras, etc.
Glasses or contacts are normally OK, but bring a tie for glasses.
Disposable cameras or waterproof cameras are recommended for the canyon, where normal cameras cannot be used. You will want photographic evidence of this one!
Leave watches, earrings and other jewelry behind.
