The Grand Prix of Malaysia has run since 1999 on the track of Sepang, which is located at 85 kilometers of Kuala Lumpur. From its very particular layout with its two long straight lines, the track is the latest in the new tracks of Formula 1.
The town of Kuala Lumpur with its two million inhabitants is also called KL by its townsmen and it has much to offer and there are several tourist attractions; the famous Twin Towers Petronas with their 452 meters, the famous Chinatown, the Golden Triangle with its multiple department stores, Garden Lake and finally the Merdika square.
