Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe
You will be received and welcomed to Uganda by Volvo Safaris, then will transfer to Kampala to check in at your accommodation. If flight arrives early, you change some money then have a city tour, all around Kampala visiting cultural places, traditional places and historical sites. Then check in for dinner and overnight at Red Chillie Kampala.
Day 2: Kampala Ngamba Island
Have a good American breakfast or as you will desire it to be, then you be picked up from your accommodation by your driver guide and transfer to Entebbe for the boat to Ngamba Island. Here you will enjoy the quietness of the island relaxing on the beaches, enjoy seeing the chimps being fed then have lunch and in the afternoon relax on the beach and later return to the main land to be met by your driver guide to transfer back to Kampala, en route you stop at Uganda Wildlife Education Centre for nature walks then to Kampala for dinner and overnight at Red Chillie.
Day 3: Kampala Pnv Rwanda.
Have an early breakfast; we depart to Kisoro which is around a 9-10 hours journey. With a stop at the craft village at the equator for pictures and shopping, we continue for lunch and later proceed to Kisoro then cross to Rwanda and head for Kiinigi guest house for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Pnv Rwanda gorilla tracking
After breakfast with packed lunch, you will love the adventure of tracking the gorillas in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. As gorilla tracking is unpredictable, it is difficult to foresee how many hours you will actually hike. It may take up to 8 hours, and you should be prepared to a walk long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. Anyone who has made the track will be quick to say that in any circumstances the thrill of seeing the gorillas makes it all worthwhile. For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these gentle giants, dinner and overnight at Kiniigi guesthouse.
Day 5: Pnv Golden Monkey walk
After breakfast we go for a Golden Monkey walk in the park, this is a thrilling experience as walk through the park carrying monkeys sometimes. Return for lunch and transfer to Mount Mgahinga Park. En route we may visit the genocide memorial site if time allows, then later proceed to check in for dinner and overnight at Travellers Rest.
Day 6: Mgahinga hike
After breakfast, we start off the Sabinyo hike, this is the most interesting Volcano to hike as it gives you a wonderful view of the 3 countries (Congo, Uganda and Rwanda) while at the peak. You will have picnic lunch today. Later return for dinner and overnight at Travellers Rest.
Day 7: Mgahinga - Bwindi impenetrable Park birding
After a relaxed breakfast then transfer to Bwindi, you may have lunch in the park if you arrive early, you may have it en route. In the afternoon we go for village walks or you may decide to bird along the Ruhija site where you will view different species of birds for the whole evening. Return for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Buhoma community bandas -Bwindi.
Day 8: Bwindi gorilla tracking for the second time
After early breakfast, with your packed lunch go for a briefing at 08:00 hours before beginning the track. Gorilla tracking is unpredictable, so it is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike. It may take 2-8 hours, and you should be prepared to walk a long distance in steep, muddy sometimes rainy conditions before you encounter any gorillas. For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these gentle giants. If the tracking ends early you may go for nature walks in the park or decide to relax off. Later return for dinner and overnight at Buhoma community camp Bandas.
Day 9: Bwindi - Queen Elizabeth
After breakfast, then transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park, passing through the beautiful evergreen mountain country referred to as the "Little Switzerland of Uganda". With lunch en route, enter through then Ishasha Sector where you may be lucky to spot the Tree Climbing Lions, arrive late afternoon, with an evening game drive and check in for dinner and overnight at the Mweya Guest House.
Day 10: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Avery early game drive to the northern parts of the park an excellent game viewing area and a lot of game in this area. Return for Lunch, after lunch; take the boat launch which will reveal hundreds of migratory bird species and thousands of hippos, crocodiles, elephants. Return for dinner and overnight at Mweya Guest House
Day 11: Queen Elizabeth Kibale National Park
You have another game drive very early in the morning then return for breakfast, after you visit Kyambura Wildlife Reserve. Driving through grassland area, all of a sudden we come across an amazing gorge of tropical rainforest 100 meters deep. Hike into Kyambura River Gorge for an unforgettable experience tracking chimpanzees. It's a rewarding experience not only to see the chimpanzees, but also to see the beautiful river valley that houses numerous birds and butterfly species. Then return for lunch then transfer to you will then transfer to Kibale - Fortportal, arriving this evening for a Check in at Rwenzori. View Guest House for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Kibale - primate walk
Early morning breakfast; proceed for a primate walk which is rewarding to a primate lover, chimps, monkeys, return for lunch, after lunch, proceed to either Magombe swamps for as swamp walk at Magombe swamp this is an excellent place to bird or we leave the park to visit the crater lakes region. Later retire for dinner and overnight at the Rwenzori View Guest House for dinner and overnight
Day 13: Transer from Fortportal to Murchison Falls
Early breakfast then start this journey with limited stops, you will not that this is a long journey with bad roads so it may take about 8-10 hours. On this day lunch is en route then arrive later in the park to check in for dinner and overnight at Red Chillie Rest Camp
Day 14: Full day at Murchison Falls National Park
Have early break fast then; proceed on a game drive which will reveal a lot of birds only found in this park and wild animals like cobs, giraffes, lions and elephants. Return for lunch. Then in the afternoon, take a boat launch to the foot of the magnificent Murchison Falls, this will reveal lots of hippos and huge Nile crocodiles, then while at the foot you will enjoy a nature walk to the top of the of The Mighty Falls while at the top of the falls, you view water falling in over 45 meter gorge with mist forming the colors of the rainbow. Return to the Red Chillie Rest Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 15: Chimp habituation full day
Early have your breakfast and then check out to head to the Budongo Forest for your whole day chimpanzee Habituation that takes about 10hrs. Here you go with your packed lunch, the walk starts from the time the chimps wake up in the morning, destroy their nest and start the day, until later evening when they build another nest for their night as you also return to check in at your accommodation to relax and cool off, overnight rest at Red Chillie.
Day 16: Murchison Falls - Kampala Jinja
Early morning breakfast the drive to Kampala arriving in time for Lunch, then head for Jinja with stops at interesting places like Mabira Forest, Sezibwa Falls and the source of the Nile, dinner and overnight at King fisher Jinja.
Day 17: Departure
Early breakfast, then you go for a half day water rafting at the Bujagali Falls, lunch then head back to Kampala for some shopping and later transfer to the airport for your evening flight back home.
