Your Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Jordan
Flight to Jordan, Upon arrival to QAIA Amman, meet and assist by our representative, passport formalities and visa handling, direct transfer from airport to Amman 33 km to hotel, welcome drink and check in at hotel. O/N Amman.
Day 2: Meet Your Camel. O/N Camping. (Amman Al- Humemah - Half day Camel riding to Camp. 20 km.)
After breakfast at hotel 7.30 Am bus transfer from Amman to old Humemah through the desert high way, 4 hrs drive, then start half day riding through Al - Humemah A nabatean caravan station during the 2end century B.C. Our route today takes us through some beautiful wadis, eventually giving way to more level terrain as we continue south toward Wadi Rum.
On the way we pass some of the extraordinary and elaborate remains of the Nabatean water irrigation canals which served their city of Humemah. Originally named Aura, Humemah was built by king Aretas (86-62 BCE) continue to Karazah for dinner and O/N camping.
Day 3: Full Day Camel Trek. O/N Camping: 30 Km
After Breakfast at camp. A wonderful day a head. We continue through Wadi rum mainly descending from about 700 meters to sea level. Stunning in its natural beauty we trek alongside weathered mountains and occasional camels passing "like ships in the desert ". We will tour the northern side of Wad Rum where we visit the natural bridge stone the Sand duns of Wad Rum this night we will camp at Wad Umm Salab.
Day 4: Full Day Camel Trek. O/N Camping. 30 Km.
After breakfast at camp heading through the heart of Wadi Rum & Wadi Umm Ishreen we will start the ride from this site of Wadi toward southern part of the Wadi. Where Lawrence of Arabia use to live. He spent considerable time in Wadi rum during the Arab revolt. Its also has some of the most spectacular desert scenery to be found any where. Along and incredible day's riding. We camp virtually in the middle of Wadi rum surrounded only by hills of granite and desert sand at Wad Alqoudear.
Day 5: Full Day Camel Trek. O/N Camping. 30 Km
After breakfast start riding from Wadi Algoudear towards Siq Al Bareah, the longest canyon in Wadi Rum, Next to Jebel en Fesheiah, where we can stop on Siq Umm Al Tawakey, a narrow canyon, called by the Bedouin, the prison. At this canyon there was a meeting between King Feisal (the ruler of Hijaz) and Lawrence of Arabia. The meeting was to discuss the revolt of the Arabs against the Ottomans. From this canyon, the Arab revolt started by camel men all the way to Aqaba. From here continue to Wadi Saabat, along the Saudi border, beautiful sites to explore, continuing riding to Jebel Umm Al Dami 1884 m above sea level, and the southern part of Wadi Rum. Then via Wadi Umm Saham to Wadi Rizgah, Dinner and O/N camping.
Day 6: Full Day Riding Wadi Rum. O/N camping. 30 km
After breakfast in camp, riding begins through Wadi Saabat, along the Saudi border. We will view the Saudi area and the Red Sea Mountains. Beautiful sites to discover in Wadi Rum for riders, it is a flat area with lots of old graffiti and inscriptions from the 2nd millennium B.C. Visit Bedouin tribes who inhabit this area and view their lifestyles. Continuing riding to Jebel Umm at the southern part of Wadi rum. Then via Wadi Rum Jaraofah, where we can see old statues and idols from the Nabatean period. Dinner and o/n camping wadi atahaonah.
Day 7: Full Day Camel Trek, Transfer to Petra. 20 Km
After breakfast at camp start riding from Wadi Rizgah to Wadi Swabit, among the most interesting sand dunes and canyons, viewing more and more of Wadi Rum, following the footsteps of an enceinte civilization from the Napatiean era, passing by Jebel Rum, 1754M above the sea level. Then riding through Wadi Ruman to Jebel Um al Adaani, continuo through Wadi Slaiman, Wadi Ramman, afternoon finishing by the train way station. Followed by transfer to Petra, on arrival to hotel check-in and freshen up followed by dinner and O/N at hotel.
Day 8: The Rose Red City Adventure. Petra. O/N Petra.
Breakfast at hotel. Guided tour of Petra includes lunch, Dinner and O/N Hotel Petra.
Day 9: Departure
After Breakfast at hotel Transfer am to Amman to connect with flight to Departure.
Visas: Visas will be issued on Arrival point to Jordan. We require the following details: Full Name/ Nationality/ date of Birth/ Passport Number / date of issue / expiry date.
Accommodation:
All nights in Amman and Petra we stay in four star hotels 3*.
For the camping nights, we shall be camping in the desert in very comfortable camps. We aim to set up camp in wilderness areas and rarely use the same site twice. Tents (Large Bedouin Tents), mattresses are provided for you, although on a warm evening you may choose to sleep out under the stars, which is an unforgettable experience. You will never have seen a sky so black or stars so bright. If you are prepared to share, then no single supplement is payable. It is expected that you will be prepared to share when camping in the desert. If you wish, a single room in the hotels can be guaranteed by paying a single supplement.
Other Activities:
Our itinerary has been designed to give you the best of Jordan. However, if you wish to extend your trip to have longer in Amman or Aqaba or to visit other parts of Jordan, we would be pleased to make arrangements for your clients.
What to Bring:
- Long Trousers for riding
- Sturdy walking shoes
- T-shirt and long sleeved shirts
- Hat protection from the sun, covering your neck as well.
- Fleece and windproof jacket (in winter it may be cold at night).
- Sandals or other shoes for camp
- Sunglasses
- 2-litre water bottle
- Torch
- Sleeping bag.
Meals:
All meals are provided, when in hotels, we will generally eat in the hotel and enjoy a selection from the buffet for dinner and breakfast.
In the desert all meals are prepared fresh and cooked over an open fire. You will be pleasantly surprised by the variety and standard of food served to you. We also accommodate vegetarian meals.
- Breakfast: Buffet Arabic and continental Breakfast includes: Tea, coffee, milk, Pita bread, orange Juice, jam, butter, and cheese, eggs, yogurt, Labenah, Olive, cucumber, tomatoes and Hummus.
- Lunches: Boxed lunches and salads are provided for riders Salami, cheese, cucumbers. Tomatoes, oranges, cake, juice, bread, local salads, tea and coffee.
- Dinners: Buffet dinner will be provided every day includes Salads Appetizer or a typical Bedouin meal will be prepared. Eg. Magluba, chicken or lamb with rice, salads, soup or a B-B-Q dinner can be provided if the clients choose. A variety of seasonal fruits, water, tea and coffee. Every evening a different dinner will be provided.
