This tour has it all – great rides, beautiful beaches where you can take a refreshing dip and plenty of cultural sites to see! While riding along the gorgeous Atlantic coast of Portugal, breathing in the salty air, you will visit the fishing village of Nazaré. Then you will explore the medieval village of Óbidos that back in the 13th Century was giving to Dona Isabel by king Dom Dinis as a wedding gift. The next stop is Fátima, one of the most important pilgrimage places for Catholics. Then you will admire the impressive 15th Century Batalha monastery, a World Heritage site of UNESCO. All of this for a very reasonable price.

Day 1 Morning transfer from Lisboa´s airport to Óbidos. Lunch in Óbidos followed by a guided tour of this pretty medieval village, that back in the 13th century was giving to Dona Isabel by Dom Dinis as a wedding gift. After dinner, when it´s nice and peaceful, go for walk and enjoy Óbidos at its best. Lodging - Casa de São Tiago Day 2 - Óbidos-Nazaré (45km/28mi) Today´s destination is the fishing village of Nazaré, the place to go for fresh seafood. The cycling route to Nazaré takes us along the Atlantic coast and through some of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal. Our hotel in Nazaré is right on the beach and all the rooms have ocean view. Lodging - Albergaria Mar Bravo Day 3 - Nazaré-Praia da Vieira (50km/31mi) Today´s bike ride is an easy one. Mostly flat, it will take us along the coast to Praia da Vieira, a small town with a never ending white sand beach. Our hotel, by the beach, has an indoor heated pool and a very complete SPA. And, of course, the beach is just across the street! Lodging - Hotel Cristal Praia da Vieira Day 4 - Praia da Vieira-Batalha (45km/28mi) Start riding inland, towards Batalha. In town we will visit the impressive Batalha monastery, built in both Gothic and Manueline styles. This UNESCO World Heritage site was built to celebrate the victory of the Portuguese army over the Spanish in the battle of Aljubarrota (1385). Don´t miss the astonishing Capelas Imperfeitas (Unfinished Chapels)! Lodging - Residencial Casa do Outeiro Day 5 - Batalha-Batalha (61km/38mi) Today we will ride our bikes through Serra de Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park, an amazing limestone range known for its huge caves. Here we will visit the "Gruta das Moedas" cave. Midway we will visit Fátima´s sanctuary, one of the most important pilgrimage sites for the Catholic religion, visited by four million people a year. This shrine was built where three shepherd children claim to have seen the apparition of the Virgin, back in 1917. Free night for dinner. Lodging - Residencial Casa do Outeiro Day 6 - Batalha-Rio Maior (44km/28mi) Our last day of riding will again take us through the Serra de Aires e Candeeiros Natural Park. Our destination is Rio Maior and its unique salt production fields... 30km away from the sea! Van transfer from Rio Maior to Óbidos. Farewell dinner in Óbidos.
