It takes you on a culinary journey beginning in the north of the state moving down to Kochi in the south and whets you to ask for more and more.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kochi - On arrival a warm welcome by our staff and transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel. Kochi (colonial name Cochin) is a vibrant city situated on the south-west coast of the Indian peninsula in the breathtakingly scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, hailed as 'God's Own Country'. Informally, Cochin is also referred to as the Gateway to Kerala.

Day 2: Kochi - Enjoy a city tour of Kochi in the afternoon. The major attractions you would experience are the magic of Fort Kochi, the Jewish Quarters and the Synagogue. Also a must see are the Chinese Fishing nets facing the harbour. Demonstration of Kerala cuisine at both Lunch and Dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Kochi / Kottayam/ Kumarakom - Drive from Kochi to Kumarakom (approximately 2 hrs away). Kumarakom, situated on the banks of the Vembanad Lake is one the world famous Backwater destinations of Kerala. Fishing, Boating and visits to the countryside make this destination a unique place to look forward to. Kumarakom also has a small bird sanctuary where different species of birds can be seen.

A boat cruise along the Vembanad Lake is the best way to experience the serenity of the enchanting backwaters. A number of Luxury hotels located along the banks of the Lake ensure that your stay in Kumarakom is a relaxed and comfortable one. Upon arrival at Kumarakam transfer to your resort / hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4: Kumarakom - Full day at leisure in Kumarakom. Morning and evening cookery demonstrations of Syrian Christian cuisine - both Vegetarian as well as Non Vegetarian.

Day 5: Kumarakom / Kottayam / Thrissur - Boat ride to Kottayam. Kottayam is an important commercial centre of Kerala, thanks to its strength as a producer of cash crops. Most of India's natural rubber originates from the acres of well-kept plantations of Kottayam, also home to the Rubber Board.

Kottayam, among the state's more mountainous districts, provides some of Kerala's finest natural scenes sandwiched as it is between serene palm-fringed backwaters on the west and the Western ghats on the east. Drive on to Thrissur. Upon arrival at Thrissur transfer to your hotel.

Day 6: Thrissur with its rich history, cultural heritage and archeological wealth is the cultural capital of Kerala. Thrissur is famed for for its Pooram Festival. This festival district has witnessed many rulers and dynasties starting with the Zamorins, Tipu Sultan to the Dutch and the British.

A cultural center, the Kerala Kalamandalam, the Kerala Sahitya Academy and Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Academy are located here. Demonstration of traditional Kerala cuisine in the evening and overnight stay.

Day 7: Thrissur / Tellicherry - Drive visiting Elephant Grove, Kappad Beach enroute where Vasco da Gama Landed in 1498.

Day 8: Tellicherry - Demonstration of traditional Malabar cuisine - Moppilah specialities.

Day 9: Tellicherry / Cannanore - Visit the Martial Arts centre, Theyyam - Traditional Art Form.

Day 10: Cannanore / Calicut - Travel to Calicut. Calicut, the most important city of Malabar region of Kerala, was a leading trading centre for spices on the West Coast of India during the medieval period. On arrival at Calicut, check in at a hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11: Calicut / Mumbai - After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Mumbai. The bustling financial capital of India and the city that never sleeps. Mumbai is also a Gourmet's paradise with a wide choice of cuisine options. Afternoon city tour of Mumbai. In the evening Konkani seafood dinner at Trishna restaurant.

Day 12: Mumbai - Day free for own activities and last minute souvenir shopping. Check out from the hotel is at 12 noon (late check out is subject to confirmation by the hotel). In the evening transfer to a downtown city restaurant for farewell Dinner before continuing on to the International airport to board your flight back home.
