We take you from the beginning with a review or introduction to the basic tools of ice ax and crampon techniques to rope team travel and crevasse rescue skills. You put your skills to the test on a climb of Mt. Shasta via a glaciated North side route. Taught on the glaciers of Mt. Shasta's North side.
Instruction includes: basic to advanced crampon and ice axe skills, glacier travel, individual and team self arrest, crevasse rescue and glacial ice climbing techniques. Culminating in an alpine style summit attempt via a glaciated North side route.
