A 12 day alpine mountaineering skills course with instruction in all aspects of rock climbing, snow and ice climbing, putting your skills to work on various peak ascents from 13,000 ft to 14,400 ft. in the Sierra Nevada, including a technical ascent in the Palisades.
Topics include cross-country navigation, mountain medicine; extended mountain travel, leave no trace ethics, weather reading, trip planning, belays systems, anchoring systems in rock and snow, climbing techniques, route evaluation, and natural history.
