Expedition to Mt. Elbrus 18,587 ft.
The Caucausus form a chain of high alpine mountains separating the Republic of Georgia from that of Russia. Several acclimatization treks will be made in the Caucausus Mountains surrounding Mt. Elbrus - alpine meadows, forested valleys, glaciated passes - with opportunities to ascend various easy summits for exceptional views of Mt. Elbrus and the Caucausus range. Then we will climb to the mountain hut (refuge 11) at 13,800 ft. before our alpine start for the summit of Mt. Elbrus at 18,587 ft.
