Lee Vining Canyon & June Lake.
For the experienced ice or rock climber or those who have attended our Basic Ice Climbing course. A challenging and exciting advanced technical ice course with plenty of time spent on the ice.
Instruction includes: advanced tool placement, protection placement, leading on ice, establishing the belay, multi-pitch ice climbing, mixed climbing, and mono/dual point crampon technique.
Black Diamond Technical ice tools demos, crampons, harnesses, ice screws are provided along with all technical equipment.
Dates 2009:
- January: 5-6*, 17-18, 24-25
- February: 2-3*, 23-24*, 28-March 1
- March: 7-8
