Leave London by river boat as Henry VIII did 500 years ago and follow the route taken by generations of monarchs as they travelled from London along the Thames River to their palaces and grand houses in the country. Cycle along the tranquil river path and explore the palaces and castles at Richmond, Kew, Hampton Court and Windsor. Spot the deer in the royal parks where monarchs once hunted and enjoy the fine gradens they created.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: London to a Riverside Village - 18 miles (29km).

Make your way to our base close to London Bridge station, in good time in the morning to pick up your cycling equipment. Then board a Thames river boat with your bicycle and head upstream. Your cycling begins in leafy Kew and takes you along the traffic free river path giving you ample time to explore Kew Palace and the famous gardens.

Take in the old palace at Richmond and spectacular Ham House on your way to the riverside palace at Hampton Court. Your hotel for the night sits in an old village square on the riverbank.

Day 2: A Riverside Village to Windsor - 10 or 22 miles (16 or 22 km).

Today's ride is a gentle one along the tranquil river and through the meadows at Runnymede. You will arrive in Windsor with plenty of time to explore this royal town and its famous castle - home to the present monarch.

If you want to see the Royals playing polo or the wonderful Savill Gardens, there is an idyllic ride into Windsor Great Park. However you choose to spend the day, there is a short train hop back to London and to our base where your luggage will be waiting for you.
