Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Windsor and surrounding villages - 12 miles (18km), 25 miles (40km) or 37 miles (59km).
At a time to suit you, make your way to our base just outside Windsor Great Park, to pick up your cycling equipment. Your host will meet you there, organize your bicycle and run through your itinerary.
Then you are off on your bike to explore this idyllic park with its amazing views of Windsor and the famous Savill Garden. Cycle almost traffic free into the heart of Windsor and on into Eton. Then explore the riverside villages with their charming brick and timber buildings and inns.
Day 2: Along the Thames - 28 miles (45km) return to Windsor or 20 miles (32 km) to Hampton Court.
Cycle through Old Windsor and then enjoy the delights of the Thames path through the Runnymede meadows and beyond. This is a very rural ride past houseboats and villas, famous islands and willow lined meadows, pretty lock cottages, attractive steeples & ancient waterside inns.
Return to Windsor across leafy commons and along a tiny canal or by cycling further along the river to Hampton Court and taking the train. If you are staying a second night, your overnight stop is at Hampton Court.
Day 3: Hampton Court, Richmond and Kew - 11 miles (18km, 20 miles (32km)) or 36 miles (58km).
We recommend the third day of this tour as there is so much to see and do. Enjoy Hampton Court Palace and a fascinating ride through the royal park and along the waterside, dotted with famous historic houses.
Discover bustling Richmond with its old palace and riverside cafes and explore Kew and its famed garden. Return to Windsor by train or by cycling along rivers, canals and across commons.
