Kusadasi is a seaside resort on the North Aegean, a great base for excursions to the ancient cities of Ephesus, Priene, Dydima and Pamukkale. Ephesus is the most well-preserved classical Greco - Roman city on the Mediterranean, and is perhaps the best place in the world to imagine how life went-on during Roman times. As a strategic coastal gateway to the Eastern World, this Ionian refuge grew to be the second largest city in the Roman Empire. Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Transfer from your hotel to Istanbul Airport in the morning. Fly to Izmir. Arrival and airport pickup in Izmir. Drive straight to Selcuk. Visit the remains of the Artemis Temple, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Next, visit the spectacular site of Ephesus, undoubtedly the most superbly preserved Greco-Roman city. Following a lunch break, visit the House of Virgin Mary (reputed to be where she spent her final days), and the old Seljuk Mosque of Isabey in Selcuk. Drive to Kusadasi. Overnight in Kusadasi. Day 2: After breakfast, drive to Pamukkale - the center of natural thermal spring waters with healing properties. Following a lunch break, you will visit the Travertines and the ancient city of Hierapolis, holding the largest Necropol in all Anatolia, of 1200 gravestones. Return drive to Kusadasi.
