Journey by jeep to the Land of the Lakes and great Taurus Mountains situated in southern Turkey. Ancient dirt roads lead us through a savage and unknown land, endowed with artifacts of past cultures. We climb by jeep along dusty dirt roads to breathtaking views. We'll bathe in waterfalls, travel mountainous roads amidst pine forests and river paths to the "Land of the Lakes", and then taste the rural hospitality by drinking çay (tea). We'll follow along the K öprülü River, which runs beneath Roman bridge ruins, and perhaps even go rafting on the river.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at Antalya. Book in the 4 star Best Western city hotel. Ancient city tour.
Day 2: Take off from hotel to north with self driven jeeps though the National Reserve park to Davras Mountain. Stay at the 5 star Sirene Davras ski resort hotel.
Day 3: Drive though the pine forest to Koprulu Canyon National Park. Arrive at Medraft Mountain Lodge next to the river bank. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Full day rafting. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 5: Trekking at the Canyon. Leave for the city. Overnight at Best Western hotel.
Day 6: Flight back home.
