Lokrum lies under special protection as a nature park. The island is uninhabited and there is no traffic here. The whole area is covered by dense pinewoods.
On its southern part there is a gorgeous botanical garden. Containing rare sub-tropical and Mediterranean species. Within the island there is a small salty lake. This is very popular bathing destination, since the average temperature is higher than the one in the sea.
After light lunch in a restaurant on the island, we paddle to the Old Town, where we end our excursion.
