To China's leaders, the dam is the greatest engineering feat since the construction of the Great Wall, but to critics worldwide, it is a social and environmental disaster. When finished, the Three Gorges Dam will produce the energy of 15 nuclear power plants and tame some of the river's deadliest floods.
Throughout China and aboard the Orient Royal Cruise, you will experience China’s changing topography and learn the Chinese ancient arts of Calligraphy, Feng Shui, dine on authentic Chinese Gourmet Cuisine and meet some of the world’s most gracious people.
Your Itinerary:

Day 1: Depart your home city for Beijing, China.
Day 2: Transfer to hotel. Balance of day at leisure to rest and explore. Group welcome dinner.
Day 3: Full day of sightseeing to The Great Wall, the Ming Tomb, Cloisonne Art Works. Afternoon at Summer Palace. Evening Kung Fu show.
Day 4: Morning Taiji training. Tour to Beijing Zoo. Afternoon visit to the Summer Palace. Then to Temple of Heaven and Lama Temple. Foot reflexology.
Day 5: Morning Taiji training. Visit Tian’anmen Square. Visit Traditional Herb Pharmacy with lecture by Professors. Rickshaw tour of Hutong. Tea Ceremony. Farewell dinner at Bai Family Restaurant.
Day 6: Morning transfer to airport for flight to Guilin. Bus to hotel in Yangshuo. Evening Empress Liusanjie Show.
Day 7: Day excursion with Lucy. Cruise the Yulong River, exploring 1500 year old villages, artistry and scenery. Lunch at Lucy’s home as prepared by her husband. Afternoon free for optional touring or shopping in Yangshuo. Dinner at Pavilion Restaurant.
Day 8: Morning flight to Yichang, where you will start your Orient Royal Yangtze River Cruise.
Day 9: Cruise Xiling Gorge East Part. Shore excursion at Three Gorges Dam Project. Pass through dam 5:stage ship locks.
Day 10: Cruise Xiling Gorge West Part, Shore Excursion at Shennong Stream. Pass Wu Gorge and Qutang Gorge.
Day 11: Day at sea. Shore excursion at Shibaozhai.
Day 12: Arrive in Chongquing at 9am. Transfer to airport for flight to Beijing and home city.
