Traditional Chinese Medicine Study Tour: Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai. (Dates and itinerary subject to change)
The journey begins with four nights in Beijing, China, to sightsee before our journey to Hangzhou. China is the oldest civilization in the world. The architecture is magnificent and only second to the stunning landscape of China. We will climb The Great Wall and go to The Forbidden City.
We will watch an evening Kung Fu Show, take a rickshaw ride through old Beijing, and participate in a Chinese Tea Ceremony, dine at fabulous restaurants, and much more. The last few days will be spent in Shanghai, the fastest growing city in the world and a true wonder. We will walk and shop the famous Bund and take a night cruise on the Huangpu River.
Your Itinerary: (As all groups are unique, we allow for some spontaneity in our schedule)
Day 1: En Route, Monday, June 18. Depart for Beijing, China.
Day 2: Beijing, Tuesday, June 19. Beijing - At leisure to rest and explore. Welcome dinner.
Day 3: Beijing, Wednesday, June 20. Beijing Sightseeing including Beijing Zoo, Tien’anmen Square. Then Chinese Herbal Pharmacy with lecture by A.P. Summer Palace. Evening Kung Fu show with Shaolin Temple monks.
Day 4: Beijing, Thursday, June 21. Beijing Sightseeing including Temple of Heaven, Capital Pearl Market, Rickshaw tour, Chinese Tea Ceremony. Visit Buddhist Temple. Foot reflexology.
Day 5: Beijing, Friday, June 22. Morning Taiji training. Beijing Sightseeing including The Great Wall, local village, & Silk Factory. Dinner at Bai Family Restaurant.
Day 6: Hangzhou, Saturday, June 23. Transfer to airport for flight to Hangzhou. Visit TCM Museum.
Day 7: Hangzhou Sunday, June 24. Hangzhou City Tour.
Days 8-12: Hangzhou, Mon-Thurs, June 25-28. TCM Training.
Day 13: Shanghai, Friday, June 29. Transfer to Shanghai. Sightseeing including Shanghai Museum, Oriental TV Tower for a breathtaking view of Shanghai, & the world famous Bund.
Day 14: Shanghai, Saturday, June 30. Visit Old Town. Tour the Mandarin Garden. Afternoon tour to Shantang. Farewell dinner followed by night cruise over the neon-lit Huangpu River.
Day 15: En Route, Sunday, July 1. Transfer to airport for flight home.
