This park contains one of the largest forests of the African highlands. The harena escarpment splits the park in to two. More than 60 mammals and 260 bird species have been recorded in Bale national park.

Day 1: Arrival Addis Ababa. Overnight: hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Bale Mountain National Park. Overnight: lodge.

Day 3: Trekking to Moraro Mountain (3750 m). Overnight: camping.

Day 4: Trekking to Wasama Valley. Overnight: camping.

Day 5: Climb Batu. Overnight camping near Gebreguracha Lake.

Day 6: Batu – Saneti Plateau (4000 m). Overnight: camping.

Day 7: Saneti Plateau – Goba. Overnight: hotel.

Day 8: Drive to Wendogenet. Overnight: hotel.

Day 9: Back to Addis. Departure.
