We get on the bus to the countryside. On the way, you may lucky see some sheep walking on the road side or farmers are working on their land, and enjoy the beautiful view outside of the window.
After 3 hours, a small village in front of us, plain farmers in that village will welcome us warmly. We will take a short break at this farmer’s home, chat with locals and get to know more about their life.
This section of the Great Wall is called Jiankou, which is famous among hiker group. Actually, people are saying that “if you have not stopped on the Jiankou Great Wall, it will be a pity to your journey.” After break, we start our exciting trekking. The hiking way is with some ups and downs, but generally it is not very tough.
Our guides encourage you to follow your own pace, and enjoy this nature beauty that surround. Of course, you can stop anywhere you like to take photos.
Jiankou Great Wall is shaped as a bended bow. One of the interest parts is buffalo horn, which is on a 1000 meters above sea level mountain ridge and is with large cliffs on each side. You will be amazed by its wonder. That is fantastic experience you have never forgotten!
After 1 hour trekking up, we reach Mutianyu Great Wall. This section of the Great Wall, where former American president Bill Clinton has visited. The Great Wall is surrounded by woodland and streams, so you will take on different looks in different seasons. Compared with Jiankou section, you will feel the wonder of the human being here. As a Chinese saying goes:” The man who has not climbed the Great Wall is not the true man.”
