Our protected Asian Elephants will carry you on trails in the countryside near our Elephant Camp. A visit to the cascades of tad Sae as well as all transfers and lunch is included in the package.
The Program: consists of a scenic Elephant ride between 45-90 min. depending on the trail & weather conditions. You cannot choose the route yourself as the trails might change from day to day depending on waether and the elephants mood!
Our packages include all transportations, food, drinking water, informative guides, entrance fees, taxes, permissions and visits to the "Lao Spirit" Resort and the picturesque Tad Sae Waterfall. All Elephant rides can be combined with other activities such as trekking, rafting, kayaking and biking. Especially multi day tours offer wonderful experiences and village stays.
The Area: was discovered from Tiger Trail Outdoor Adventures some years ago and offers a wonderful sight for outdoor activities and the Elephant Project. Forests, a winding river, a wonderful waterfall and an impressive mountain range provides the setting for your trip.
Note: Bookings with the Elephant Camp can not be canceled unless you tell one of our offices until 6:00 pm one day before departure. Cancellations on the start day will not cause any refunds whatsoever reasons may occur (rain, sickness, not come, sleep too long). You may have to accept waiting times as we cooperate with animals not machines. Delays may happen on any of our Elephant Trails (for example during rain, high water, muddy trails, elephant walking speed).
Your Itinerary:
Your Pick up service will await you in front of your hotel, at about 8:30-9:00. (or pick up point). Together with your local guide you will proceed to the Adventure and Elephant Camp about 15 km out of town and in the middle of a green, natural surrounding just on the banks of the Nam Khan river.
After crossing the small river you will be introduced to our protected Asian Elephants and go out for a scenic ride. Enjoy the new perspective and the wonderful nature on this 1-1,5 hr. ride. A stunning landscape, tranquility and lush nature gives you a relaxed stay on the back of the Elephant. Lean back in your seat and enjoy.
On the ride you make your way through forests and along the Nam Khan river. The ride brings you up to the amazing Tad Sae waterfalls. Here you can hang out for lunch and some swimming in the refreshing cascades. A short boat trip will bring you back to the Elephant and Adventure Camp. After that you will have a transfer back into Luang Phabang. Arrival time in Luang Phabang at about 13:00-14:00.
