Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Welcome in Vientiane. Arrival in Vientiane, transfer to hotel and check-in, City tour with visit the original old Wat Sisaket (1818), Ho Prakeo (hall of crystal buddha), the biggest Thatluang stupa and Patuxay (view point). Dinner at a restaurant.
Day 2: Vientiane - Luang Prabang. After breakfast, transfer to domestic airport for flight to Luang Prabang for 35 Minutes. If the weather is nice this flight offers you a great opportunity to see the countryside and the green mountains.
After arrival in Luang Prabang, transfer to hotel in town, City tour with Wat Visun, Wat Aham, the beautiful Wat Xieng Thong, walking along the Wat street, Wat Mai, Climb up to Phusi hill for overlooking with fantastic view around the town, Dinner at local restaurant. (B, D)
Day 3: Mekong - Villages and the Pak Ou Cave. Laos - a smile for everyoneBreakfast at hotel, trip by private long boat on Mekong river to Pak Ou, stop on the way to visit Muang Kham (Lao Lum), if you wish, Ban Xang Hai (Lao Lum), where the distillation of the rice whisky (Lou Lao) can bee seen. Then continue to Pak Ou, visit the exiting "Tham Ting cave", cross the Mekong to Ban Pak Ou to have lunch.
Return to Lang Prabang, drive by car/bus to visit the tomb of Henry Mouhot, the explorer of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. You will enjoy the walking along the Khan river. By return way, you can shop(if you wish) weaving products in Ban Pha Nom. Dinner at restaurant with live traditional music show. (B, D)
Day 4: Kuang Si Waterfall. Breakfast at hotel, excursion by car/bus to the beautiful Kuang Si water fall, on the way stop to visit Hmong-and Khmu villages. Picnic for lunch there, then return to Luang Prabang. Afternoon free at leisure. Dinner at local restaurant. (B, D)
Day 5: Activities around Luang Prabang. Your choice of activities:
1. Trekking (5-7 hrs)
2. Rafting
3. Kayaking
4. Biking (30-50 km)
5. Elephant riding (incl. waterfall visit during July-January)
Or just relax in the town. Dinner at local restaurant. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Luang Prabang - Bangkok. After breakfast, visit the vegetable market, the former King's Palace, lunch at local restaurant, transfer to airport for departure to Bangkok. (B)
