Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Cochin (Kochi)
Arrive at the Cochin Airport to be received by the company's representative. Later, the travel assistant escorts you to the hotel for check in. Take some rest and then enjoy a post-lunch visit to such famous sights as the Fort Kochi, Bolghatty Palace, Mahadeva Temple etc. Get back to the hotel for your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Cochin – Munnar
After breakfast in the morning, your travel guide accompanies you on a drive to Munnar (130 km/ 4 hours). Get to see popular places like Rajamala and Mattupetty. Do some eye feasting at Echo Point. Also enjoy a boat ride along the lake. Your guide escorts you back to the hotel for check in, dinner and a nightlong stay.
Day 3: Munnar - Anamudi – Munnar
Today, our representative guides you the Anamudi Peak (8,838 ft), that's the highest in South India. Get to the Eravikulam National Park to spot some of rarest of Indian wildlife species. Also visit sites like Devikulam, Mattupetty, Pallivasal and Pothamedu. Stay overnight at the hotel in Munnar.
Day 4: Munnar - Periyar (Thekkady)
After you have had your breakfast, we leave for Periyar (110 km/ 3 hours), visiting the Idukki Dam en route. On reaching Periyar, your travel guide accompanies you to the hotel for check in. Enjoy an evening boat cruise along the Periyar Lake to watch wildlife species like Indian elephant, tiger, wild boar, sloth bear etc. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Periyar
Today, we again start on a boat ride on the Periyar Lake for some more eye feasting. See the Indian elephants frolic on the banks of the lake. Spot tigers in the wild and explore the rich flora of the park. In the afternoon, get to visit vast expanses tea and spice (cardamom, cinnamon and pepper) plantations. Also take a stroll through the local markets to buy some fragrant spices. Get back to the hotel for dinner and a nightlong stay.
Day 6: Periyar – Kumarakom
We undertake an early morning drive to Kumarakom (130 km/ 4 hours). On arrival at this enchanting backwater destination, your travel guide takes you to the traditional houseboat of Kerala for check in. Enjoy a scenic boat ride along the backwaters enjoying the modern comforts of the houseboat. Lunch and dinner are served on board. Cruise to the popular backwater of Alleppey. Stay overnight in the houseboat.
Day 7: Alappuzha – Trivandrum
Today, the travel representative takes you out on a drive to Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala. Enjoy post lunch sightseeing of the city. Visit sites like Kuthiramalika, Museum and Zoo. Stay overnight at the hotel in Trivandrum.
Day 8: Trivandrum
After breakfast in the morning, your guide accompanies you on a full day sightseeing of Trivandrum. Visit the famous Padmanabhaswamy Temple and Sree Chitra Art Gallery. Also get to see Veli tourist village before heading towards the Kovalam Beach, one of the most pristine in Kerala. Later, the travel guide escorts you back to the hotel for dinner a nightlong stay.
Day 9: Trivandrum
The tour concludes and after breakfast our travel manager ensures your timely transfer to the airport/ railway station for your onward journey.
