Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Delhi
On arrival in Delhi you will be received warmly by our reception team and the welcome will be with traditional Indian hospitality. You will be taken to the hotel for relaxation and discussing any queries that you might have.
Day 2: Delhi
We have divided this section in two parts. In the first half of the day, you'll be escorted to the famous sights of New Delhi such as India Gate, President's house, Humayun's Tomb, Qutab Minar, Laxmi Narayan Temple etc. After this, we'll have a brief break to have lunch and then we'll embark upon our tour of Old Delhi covering Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Gandhi Memorial followed by sound & light show at Red Fort. Our overnight stay is scheduled at Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi - Samode - Jaipur
In the morning we drive off to Jaipur via Samode. This 270-kilometre-long journey takes about five and half hours. We'll take our lunch at Samode Palace and later we'll take a stroll in the Samode village. Samode is only 42 km away from Jaipur and is known for its havelis, handicrafts etc.
By the evening we proceed to Jaipur. On arrival in Jaipur we check in at the hotel. Feel free to wander through the thoroughfares and markets of Jaipur and indulge yourself in shopping if you like. Our overnight stay is scheduled at Jaipur.
Day 4: Jaipur
In the morning we are off to Amer Fort, relive the magic of medieval India by ascending the fort on elephant's back. Later in the day you'll see some of the important tourist attractions such as City Palace, Jantar Mantar (observatory) and the Palace of Winds. Saturate yourself with the soul of Jaipur as you get to stay here overnight for one more time.
Day 5: Jaipur – Agra
We leave Jaipur in the morning and drive off to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri (The deserted city ) where we'll have a brief hault. Agra is at a distance of 240 km from Jaipur and the journey takes about 5 hrs. After your arrival in Agra and checking in at the hotel, you are free in the evening to explore the city in your own way. We'll have overnight stay in hotel.
Day 6: Agra – Gwalior
The highlight of our visit, we visit the world renowned Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The following destination on our list is Agra Fort. In the afternoon we drive off to Gwalior which is 3 hours drive from Agra. We'll stay overnight at a Gwalior hotel.
Day 7: Gwalior – Khajuraho
Gwalior is a city with a long and illustrious history. Gwalior has many historic monuments, such as Gwalior Fort, which is situated on a impressive hill and from here you can have bird's eye view of the city. The Gurjari Mahal, which has an archaeological museum, the Manmandir Palace, the Sun Temple at Morar, the Jai Vilas Palace and Museum are some of the other important attractions of the city.
We later drive off to Khajuraho, the historic town that is famous for its carvings on the temple walls. The journey takes about six hrs as the distance is about 270 km. After arrival in Khajuraho you check into the hotel and you can use the rest of the time either to relax or to explore the city. You'll be staying overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Khajuraho
We set off for Khajuraho temples in the morning, the temples that are famous for its erotic carvings on its walls. The architectural marvels built here by the Chandela Rajput rulers during the 10th to 12th centuries, these structures have grown into a major tourist destination from the mere obscure village. Of the 85 temples that were originally built, only 22 are still intact. You'll get to visit both the groups of temples, eastern as well as western. You'll be staying overnight at the hotel in Khajuraho.
Day 9: Khajuraho Varanasi
You shall be transferred to the airport for onward flight to Varanasi. We'll take you to see the holy river Ganga as well as a city tour of Varanasi, visiting the Sankat Mochan Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Bharat Mata Mandir and the famous Banaras Hindu University. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 10: Varanasi – Delhi
Enjoy a boat ride in the holy river Ganga and have a view of the divine sunrise. Later you'll be transferred to the airport to board flight for Delhi. Upon reaching Delhi you will be helped on your way for your journey back home.
