Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Spanish Language Classes and Cusco City Tour
You will start the day with 2 hours of intensive Spanish. Following a brief pause, you will set out on a half-day excursion to see some of the highlights of Cusco – “the navel of the world” and the center of the ancient Inca Empire. You will visit Q’oricancha, the Inca Temple of the Sun and then tour Cusco’s 15th century Cathedral.
Day 2: Spanish Language Classes and Four Ruins Tour. You will have 2 hours of Spanish in the morning. Then, you will head out for a half-day tour – on horseback – of the four primary ruins surrounding the city of Cusco, including Sacsaywaman, Q’enko, Tambomachay, and Puka Pukara.
Day 3: Spanish Language Classes. This day provides a small respite from the travel, and your morning is devoted to Spanish; and the afternoon is free.
Day 4: Chincheros – Huchu’y Qosqo
This day begins very early in the morning. You and your guide will take a private car up to the village of Chincheros in the high Andean plains. From there you will hire horses and muleteer and then make your way on both foot and horseback to the pueblo of Huchu’y Qosqo. This is an amazing full day adventure trek with beautiful high-mountain scenery.
Day 5: Spanish Language Classes and Traditional Markets
This day includes another 2 hours of intensive Spanish in the morning. In the afternoon, you and your guide will make your way through 4 traditional markets in around Cusco, including both open-air vegetable and food markets and traditional handicraft markets where you can buy Cusco souveniers.
