Highlights:
- Exotic Istanbul
- Swim in a Roman bath
- Relax on Aegean coast
Famous for its labyrinthine bazaars and ancient mosques, Istanbul conjures up magical images of minarets and domes – and it doesn’t disappoint! You’ll explore in depth – including the dripping underground cisterns where Medusa’s head supports two columns – creepy! Taking the Pamukkale Express train south, you cross into Asia to arrive next morning at Pamukkale where you see the amazing white terraced cliffs and can swim amongst Roman columns in an ancient pool!
You’ll be amazed at the size of the ancient Graeco-Roman city of Ephesus, with its well-preserved theatre which can seat a staggering 25,000 people! As you wander you’ll come across baths, temples and the stunning library of Celsus. Heading to the coast your holiday ends on the Aegean with two days at Bitez. This is the perfect base for activities such as diving, sailing and windsurfing, or to simply relax on the beach.
