Day 1: Delhi. Arrive Delhi, check into hotel. Afternoon tour of Delhi.
Day 2: Shekhavati. Drive to the Shekhavati area of Rajasthan, renowned for its painted frescoes and ornate havelis. We spend the night in a heritage hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 3: Mandawa. Walking tour of Mandawa followed by a camel ride to surrounding villages. Overnight in comfortable mud huts of the Desert Resort. Includes: (B).
Day 4: Bikaner Homestay. Drive from Mandawa to Bikaner. Afternoon at leisure to stroll through the bazaars of the old part of town. We stay overnight in the home of a Rajput family. Includes: (B).
Day 5: Bikaner. Morning visit to the magnificent Junagadh Fort, afternoon excursion to the camel breeding farm. Includes: (B).
Day 6: Jodhpur Drive to the temple at Deshnok where rats are worshipped as future reincarnations of mystics. Then continue to Jodhpur. Then continue to Jodhpur. Includes: (B).
Day 7: Jodhpur. In the morning we visit the Meherangarh fort, one of India's most impressive. Afternoon at leisure. Includes: (B).
Day 8: Pushkar. Departure to Pushkar, a delightful little desert oasis. Includes: (B), (D).
Days 9-10: Pushkar. Two full days to attend the Pushkar Fair. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 11: Jaipur. Popularly known as the 'pink city', Jaipur is the capital of the state of Rajasthan. Afternoon visit to the splendid Amber fort. Includes: (B).
Day 12: Jaipur. Morning city tour. Free afternoon. Includes: (B).
Day 13: Agra. Drive to Agra via the ancient Moghul capital at Fatehpur Sikri. Includes: (B).
Day 14: Delhi. Visit the Taj Mahal before boarding the evening express train to Delhi. Includes: (B).
