Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Shanghai. Arrival day. No meals.
Day 2: Xi'an. Fly to Xi'an In the afternoon we have a guided tour of the Terracotta Warriors where we can learn about their fascinating history. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 3: Xi'an. Free morning to explore the sights of the city, perhaps the lively Muslim Quarter and the Great Mosque. Overnight train to Beijing. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 4: Beijing. Upon arrival we have a guided tour of the Temple of Heaven, which is also a good opportunity to see the locals enjoying their morning exercises. The afternoon is free to explore at your leisure, and in the evening there is the option to enjoy a performance of the famous Beijing Opera.
Day 5: Beijing. A full day excursion to one of the less-visited but more impressive sections of the Great Wall. There is the option to hike for 12km, or you can just enjoy a picnic in the most spectacular surroundings. Includes: (B).
Day 6: Beijing. A guided tour of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City will give us an insight into China's dynastic history. Overnight train to Shanghai. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 7: Shanghai. A day tour of the city where we will take in the Mandarin Gardens and the Bund. In the evening we will see the Shanghai Acrobats, an unmissable show! Includes: (L), (D).
Day 8: Shanghai. Tour ends after breakfast. Includes: (B).
