In addition to Table Mountain and the chance to sample the produce of the world-famous wine estates of Stellenbosch, the wild coastline and rugged interior provide some classic riding on peaceful roads with very little traffic. Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Start Cape Town. Free day to relax or explore.
Day 2: Ride to Stellenbosch and the wine estates.
Day 3: Ride over Hellshoogte passing vineyards to the quaint village of Franschhoek.
Day 4: Transfer through Breede Valley and ride through the beautiful semi-arid desert of the Great Karoo.
Day 5: Ride down through Langeberge Mountains to Bontebok N.P., home to rare antelope, mountain zebra and endangered cranes.
Day 6: Ride and transfer to Cape Agulhas N.P., Africa's southernmost point.
Day 7: Transfer to Gansbaai; Indian Ocean ride to Hermanus (seasonal whale watching).
Day 8: Free day to relax in Hermanus, optional shark diving.
Day 9: Ride the Whale Coast to Gordon's Bay.
Day 10: Cycle to Cape Town via the surf beach of Muizenburg.
Day 11: Stunning Cape Peninsula ride through historic coastal villages; visit penguin colony.
